We had a great night at Dr Bells listening to The South. Music was really good and venue was just right size for the gig.

Only thing that let the venue down is the location- bit of a trek from the train station... otherwise absolutely faultless gig- loved it!

The south made the audience wait too long before they made their appearance, the audience were well pissed both by the delay and with booze. You could feel this by the whistling and demands for the band to come on stage.What should have been a great night of nostalgia was not helped by a sound system that gave us more drum and bass than vocals, its the harmonies of Alison and Dave that are the centre of the souths success. If you drown out their performance you get an audience that end up chattering away during and between each of their songs. As a band you must have sensed you had lost the audience and put on an inferior performance. Maybe the point is the South are in free fall and former Beautiful South songs aren't given the respect they deserve. This concert doesn't deserve a two star , but this fan still has plenty of good memories of what used to be that I cant give the South a one star.

Fantastic gig in a stunning venue. Atmosphere was amazing and a lovely mixed crowd of all ages. Band looked so happy to be doing their thing and the set was bloody brilliant.

Brilliant night . The venue was superb and even though it was sold out i didnt feel like i was crammed in, there was still room to move and dance. I will certainly be back.
