Review of GoldCoast Oceanfest 2023
The acts this year were not so great. Although enjoyed Joel Corey his act was basic and no guests. Last years acts were brilliant. Dizee was ok but not much atmosphere all day and Sunday was rubbish. DJ tent was good and probably saved the weekend!

Review of GoldCoast Oceanfest 2023
It is a great festival for families, so I would recommend it to friends with younger children but I wouldnât recommend it to my 3 sons who are in their late teens/early 20´s. The main issue was the queues to the bars and not being able to leave and re enter at least once. Please take a look at the cashless system they use at Standon Calling, I think it would speed up the bar queues a lot. It would be great to see a wider variety of street food there too - would love to see more of the local companies participate - Stoned pizza, Squire fish and chips etc. The bars often had limited drinks options or ran out of favourites eg ginger beer at the rum bar.

Review of GoldCoast Oceanfest 2023
Slightly disappointed at the lack of stalls/things to do⦠one year there was so many things you could get involved in⦠such as axe throwing, the skate ramps to watch people, plenty of clothes stalls etc. â pints were also extortionate compared to previous years, £8 a pint inc. a cup⦠I appreciate weâre in a cost of living crisis, but it doesnât even cost that in London!
also next years ticket prices, £60 is extreme for kids 6-18⦠especially as thereâs not a lot there for kids under 10⦠I wouldnât take my 6 year old on the fair rides there as they are too little, and other than a snow cone stall and a sweet stall, thereâs nothing else for them there. So I certainly wouldnât pay £60 for both my 6 year old children. However I think for 12-18 year olds thatâs a fair price.

Always love oceanfest, lineup this year was a bit crap compared to previous years but still a good festival. Dodgys set on Sunday should have been elevating but instead left us feeling depressed to be leaving, 3/5 this year.
