Review of Hastings Reggae Festival 2024
It took a while to get the sound right - poor Aswad suffered - but once it was sorted everything was brilliant. Wayne Wonder. General Levy, Maxi Priest and Taurus Riley entertained us royally.

Disappointed compered to previous experiences!! This is due to the long time between set changes with NO entertainment between that you could hear. The sound was uneven and little base even though they were playing for reggae and drum and base crowds. There was no DJ /music/ or host between sets which on average lasted incidentally lasted approx 20-30 mins each time a new act was due on. You were left having to guess who would appear next. and this dropped crowd participation and interest. The crowd response was slow because of this, leaving the next appearing acts to work really hard at hyping back up the crowd! Not the way to go, and I was disappointed!

Fantastic day shared with my daughter for her birthday! We both enjoyed it immensely. Taurus Riley was definitely worth the wait, he excelled! The only down side was in between the artists. Could do with a proper DJ set banging out tunes to keep us entertained.

Too much down time between acts music played in between poor volume and poor choice crowd got bored delayed last act had to leave to make last train was taurus we wanted to see most

No water to wash hands after using the toilets, not enough base in the sound, no viewing screens at the sides for those at the back, having said that, we had an amazing time, would deffo go again. Take something warm as it's by the sea and got really chilly in the late evening 😊

Most entertaining. Great seeing so many different quality artists in the same night. The marvellous weather also added to the excitement and atmosphere. Would definitely come again next year!!!
