Review of The Gathering
A good day out, but the queueing kinda spoiled it. I have been to manyh events, but have never spent so long in queue's. Long long Queues for drink, food and toilets. It seemed to me that the organisers weren't ready for the number of people, which is strange as they knew exactly how many tickets were sold. The bar queue stretched at one point, the whole width of the field. I would have had 20 smaller queues instead of one big long one, it put people off. And more food outlets would have spread people out a bit more, we waited 40 minutes to get served, and the cost of the food was quite expensive, but we expected that. More toilets also required, and the stalls which were there packed up really early, by the time I went for a look at them they had gone. But all in all a good day out, just sort out

Review of The Gathering
The festival was great however the venue was lacking. The queues for food, drink, toilets were very long (45-60 mins) which impacted on enjoying the live music. This should have been better organised for a more enjoyable experience.

Review of The Gathering
Music was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Queues to bar, toilets, food vendors were a real inconvenience and missed out on a lot of the music. The bar prices were also way to expensive for very little choice

Brilliant day only thing would be the que’s. We waited an hour and a half at the bar and as we were waiting they told us they had ran out of beer. My sister in law waited just over an hour for food aswell. It’s the first year and it was a great day but that was a bit of a pain! But we’ll done, I loook forward to next year.

Review of The Gathering
I really loved The Gathering and had such a great day. It was a really great first year, however feel like there are a few improvements to be made in the future.
I really enjoyed the music but maybe could’ve done with a couple different styles of music to break up the bagpipes and fiddles throughout the whole day. I would’ve liked to have seen a faster turnaround on the main stage though.
The bar had a really great selection of drinks but the queuing system wasn’t great. At one point the toilet queue and the bar queue (at opposite sides of the northern meeting park) joined up as they were so large.
Although the queues were quite big, the bar staff were great and moved fast. I feel maybe a larger bar and more toilets would have been beneficial.
There wasn’t much in the way of seating - unless you had purchased seating which wasn’t too obvious before arriving. There were a few benches which were full all day. And camping chairs weren’t allowed leaving a lot of people on their feet all day/evening.
It was originally communicated that there would be no re-entry after 5PM, then it was moved to 9PM but a lot of us didn’t know about this and would’ve quite liked to leave and come back - some of us wanted to get more money.
These are by no means complaints. I really want this festival to do well so I’m hoping that this is constructive.

Review of The Gathering
Hi I enjoyed the music on the main stage. The music from smaller stage not so good too small for the number of people around it and it clashed with last act on main stage.
There was not enough food and drink for the amount of people I queued for well over an hour at fish and chip stall and toilet queues too long a major rethink required for another gathering. It had a good atmosphere so with major improvements it should be great.

Review of The Gathering
We had a great time at The Gathering & really enjoyed Ho Ro (though we missed Lucy!) , Elephant Sessions and Tide Lines. Something for all ages to enjoy, and a good family-friendly atmosphere to relax and have fun in. Easy to find free parking nearby to the venue. Only thing we were unhappy with was the length of queues to get food/drinks - though the organisers seem to have recognised this & hopefully there will be more vendors next year. Will go again if music line-up is as good!

Review of The Gathering
The prices at the bar far to expensive and the quing system not great que for a good 20/30 mins then to be told by the Marshall for us just to go anywhere as there is no system!! Also running out off basic drinks early on in the day., also should be aloud to take chairs with you, very long day standing about.,not everyone wants to be standing in a huge crowd.

Review of The Gathering
Music was great and good location however the price of drinks was extremely high - I was charged £7.50 for a gin and tonic (£5 for a gin, £2.50 for tonic).
We waited over hours for drinks at a bar.
We also waited 1.5hours for food at the fish and chip van, as we got 5 people from the front, the woman wrote on the board that they were no longer selling chips by themselves (it had to be a fish supper or similar). There was no other vegetarian options and we were told to go to another food outlet. The woman who appeared to be running it had an absolutely terrible attitude and was extremely rude. After a lengthy discussion we were served a portion of chips, however If it wasn’t for the fact we waited so long, I would have definitely went somewhere else. Very disappointing.
