Review of Boogietown 2024
Really good acts and music but wouldn't bother with VIP tickets. The bar waiting time was long and went to 'normal' bar instead with no waiting time. Drink choices were limited, tonic water ran out and the wine was disgusting. For the cliente age group a better of selection of wines and fizz would of easily been appreciated. Expected seating which is usually provided at other events and toilets were not the cleanest.

Review of Boogietown 2024
I was a last minute recruit to join a group at Boogietown on the Saturday, but I am so happy I went!
We got there fairly early, just in time for the 2nd act, Katrina. The organisation was very streamlined - it was a 10 minute walk from the carpark to the main area and there was minimal queueing.
Katrina was somewhat of a disappointment, she had a big job to do to occupy the stage by herself and the sound was terrible - I got the impression they were still doing last minute setups while she was on - it would perhaps have been better to keep the DJ going as they were doing a great job, until everything is properly ready.
Thankfully they sorted all the teething problems out in time for the next act: Boney M, who were REALLY good. I did NOT expect to enjoy this set as I was over-exposed to a couple of their songs as a child, but they were great entertainers.
Wet Wet Wet followed, and they were somewhat disappointing. They grouched about being moved back from an 8pm slot to a 3pm one, but frankly they weren't good enough for an evening slot. While the original band was pretty good still, their stand-in singer wasn't great, lacking both charisma and the best voice, although he could have chosen easier songs. They were definitely wet.
After that Soul 2 Soul were the next act, and then the party got going properly! I only know one of their hits which they saved till last, but their entire set was entertaining and upbeat and got everyone boogying!
Lisa Stansfield followed and she was AMAZING! As good as she ever was and should perhaps have been the headline act. I'd forgotten how many of her songs I loved and her genre - somewhere between soul with elements of funk and jazz is really suited for the live performance.
Banarama were great and the banter from Keren was fun! I was surprised to know more songs than I thought and ashamed to admit I sang along to a few of them!
By the time KC and the Sunshine band came on, I was exhausted, so perhaps didn't enjoy this final act as much as I might have otherwise done. They were very entertaining with LOTS going on on stage. Would have preferred shorter songs though - each took around 10 mins and it felt a bit milked. Also throwing a couple of slow numbers on at the start was a bad call - the audience had been revved up by Bananarama and that energy was lost.
As well as the Main Stage there were two other tents of music but we didn't really explore them.
Lots of food stalls around the place, and while expensive, the food was the best. The bar was very limited, but we weren't there to drink and thankfully neither were most people.
The atmosphere was brilliant - we didn't see any bad behaviour of any kind all day and pretty much every age range was well represented.
I'm already planning returning next year, perhaps for both days. For the price you're unlikely to get better value entertainment for a day

Great security. Didn't agree with bar staff not allowed tips seeing as it was a cashless system, they could prove it was a tip! Bands fantastic, VW disco good vibes. Rave tent good wish more old 1980's rave music. Weather kind. Food expensive and drinks middle range but please bring own plastic study cup. I lost 2 drinks at just under £7 each.Great atmosphere as mostly people born in 80's a majority so no fights attitude just happy people glad to be out rather than in ironing!

Review of Boogietown 2024
We came from Denmark for the Saturday festival and we had a fantastic day.
The only challenge was trains from London to Hampton Count, where trains do not run on weekends. Only late do we become aware that there is a train to Hampton Wick, which solved our transport concerns. We will definitely come again.
