An excellent venue, great table service, friendly staff. Very good selection of food and drink, some c**ktails in bucket sized glasses.

Great performance from Back Chat Brass.

All in all a splendid way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

I think for the price we paid for the table and how the venue is represented online doesnâ??t at all reflect the venue in real life!

The welcome drink in our opinion is a scam. Itâ??s not represented clearly online what the options are but when we got there we were told
It was only a soft drink, beer or Aperol Spritz. Three very limiting choices!

My friend was unable to attend and we were told we couldnâ??t have the complimentary drink even though we paid for it. Thatâ??s absolutely ludicrous!
Not to mention the lady at the entrance desk was very blunt, unwelcoming and very unwilling to engage. Itâ??s a shame because the Food & Brass band were ace! We were looking forward to finally coming to chow down, but we definitely wonâ??t be returning based on that experience.

Waste of money. Paid for 8 people, 2 couldn’t attend due to covid and they wouldn’t let us have the two drinks we’d paid for because we didn’t have a full number. Drinks were very overpriced and horrible. Atmosphere was very dull. Wouldn’t recommend at all. Bar staff were lovely though.

There is an amazing and chilled atmosphere at chow down. The service was great from the moment we arrived and the venue was clean, including the toilets.

We booked the 8:15-23:15 slot. All music was turned off at 22:30 and when we asked staff If it could be turned on, they rudely replied “you could just talk to each other.” Staff were tidying up around us and moving tables and the even was not even a third full by 22:00. We effectively paid for the pleasure of sitting on a bench.
