I thought the description was incorrect and should have been advertised as a fun afternoon or family day. I've been to lots of food festivals and the abbey park food festival was not what I was expecting at all. I thought it would be more about food, food tasting, demonstrations

Review of Leicester Food Festival
I feel that if we are having to pay for the food and drinks that we buy then we should not then also be charged an entry fee. I was lucky enough to book an early bird ticket £8.70 but on the day prices were £18.00 and that just covers the entrance fee, you do not get any vouchers or anything to redeem that against anything which just seems so pricey considering that most food vendors are then charging around £7 to £9 to buy food or a drink.
Other than that, the day was very enjoyable and the range of food vendors was good. It made for a great day out!

It wasn't really a food festival. More of a loud festival, with food offerings. The whole thing is a bit lost, really.
And don't get me started on the poor directions, and lack of signage around the park itself to get in!

Not sure what the tickets actually paid for when you're spending x amount on food, drinks and parking. Way too overpriced. Also no signs of where to actually go, so walking for miles to the ONE entrance that you could access. Poor organisation
