Review of Leicester Food Festival
The early bird tickets at £15 each were definitely not worth the money. £30 for my wife and I to walk round a venue in 15 minutes, disgrace!
The venue itself was not clearly marked up and we and others found ourselves walking back on ourselves to find the entrance.
The stalls were all selling food to eat and not selling to take home, other than the pork pie/cheese stand.
Prices for the food to eat was far too expensive with virtually all selling at £12. I watched one stall fill a a small container to the brim with cheap like oven chips then putting a small amount of the nice items on top. If people want to pay this price then that is up to them but it certainly didn't cater to my pocket.
The alcohol stands were selling brands that only catered to the inquisitive and not to those who fancied a drink that they knew they would actually enjoy!

We were planning to come for 2-3 hours and we actually spent 5h! We loved the atmosphere even in that heat, everyone enjoyed themselves. Music very good, fun fair very good, big range of drinks and food, It would be nice to see some different food next year to try something completely new:)

Fair online price (£8.10) for early bookers but overpriced on the day at £18. Fairly large choice of food options but far too few places to get a drink, I.e. beer from - there were only 2! And the queue for those 2 stalls were massive!

Great day out, however, I would have liked there to have been more food stall selling items to take home ie honey, delicatessen items etc.
Also. very little shade to hide from the sun, picnic benches should have had umbrellas.

Review of Leicester Food Festival
The area was way too crowded you could hardly move anywhere. There were no signs when you got into abby park that stood out, only a couple of A4 white signs with plain black writing. Myself and loads of others were walking around aimlessly. Food options were pretty good and the music sounded good.
But it stated there would be 50+ food options there definitely wasn't. I'd say there was around 25. Some of the ones listed I couldn't even see on th day. I paid £8 a ticket on yhe early bird and it wasn't worth that much. Yet they were charing £18 on the day!
Won't go next year if it's on
