Review of EXTRA LIFE + aPAtT + JONATHAN HERING
Great Night of Art Rock (for want of a better term) I will be seeking aPAtT out again, really entertaining, great musicianship and a thought provoking romp through a number of styles/genrtes/ approaches to music, all done with a smile.

Review of DTA @ The Kazimier Stockroom with Matt McManamon
It was a freezing cold night so the outside garden at the Kazimier was pretty cold but no seemed to mind as the atmosphere is good, a really nice mixed crowd of friendly people enjoying themselves - locals, local visitors, football fans, tourists and those there for the gig. Matt MacManamon is a good friend so I enjoyed seeing Matt's set of his 'Scally Folk' album and recent songs plus a couple of hits from The Dead '60s. An upbeat live performance. We didn't know what to expect from DTA 'Dancing to Architecture' but they were a spectacle, musically lively and great fun as a live act. We were going to chat to Matt and stay for half of the set out of courtesy but like the whole audience we stayed for the whole set (and a couple of encores) as it was great fun and just the thing to warm up to. Despite it being a fixture in Liverpool for years I had never been to the Kazimier Garden. It looks uber trendy and expensive. The crowd was mixed ages & style, a decent range of drinks (no traditional British beer but that would be unusual at a venue, some good continental lagers, wines, G&T, non-alcoholic choices), typical (pricey) town prices but also inexpensive food options. The only thing that confused us was not spotting the entrance to the Stockroom in the left hand corner. I will definitely go again.
