Review of Liverpool Celebrates
Bought as soon as advertised and paid early bird entry £33.
Noticed much later that we coukd have got 4 for the price of 3 thus saving more.
The start time was advertised as late morning and finishing at 11pm. The closer it got the more the actual time shrunk, so on the day it was after 3pm and finished at 10.30pm. Don't think it was value for money.
Once in could not return. Coukd have offered wristbands. No chairs and no umbrellas allowed. Captive audience, food and drink ( warm beer in cans) expensive.
Advertised originally as Mathew st festival then changed to Liverpool celebrates.
Venue less than three quarters full, tickets still being sold on the day.
Won't return.
On a plus side, staff were OK. Porta loos were OK.

Went to 2 events and they were both very under attended. They were selling tickets on the gate with a 30% discount which was annoying. So many people outside the venue enjoying the music for free, will do the same next time

This event used to be free. We now paid a significant amount to get in. Paid again for food and drink as couldn't take it in. The music was dire and there was no atmosphere as it appeared to be well under capacity. Considering it was a family day, the security personnel were like the fun police. We won't be returning next year.
