Review of Bombed Out Church Ice Rink
Absolutely disgraceful £50 we paid and it was a joke! I've requested my money back we never stayed the kids were so upset! You couldn't have got any speed up even if you could skate on the plastic covered in mud postage stamp of a rink! Awful 😞

Review of Bombed Out Church Ice Rink
This was an absolute shame. The ice ring was plastic and uneven, everyone was in disbelief. 50 quid and the kids couldn't even skate. No wonder the comments are turned off. Just a photoshopped photo. Everyone left the rink almost straight away as they couldn't skate. The whole thing was so poor and embarrassing. My kids are great skaters and even they couldn't skate. So unfair and total rip off. Staff were nice but that's wear the positives end. I want a refund!

Review of Bombed Out Church Ice Rink
Great atmospheric place. Just a shame it was so cold and wet on the day. Well done to all the staff from the guys at the entrance and those on the bar and skate collection. All welcoming and helpful.

Review of Bombed Out Church Ice Rink
It was an okay day out, my 3 year old really enjoyed herself but the "ice rink" itself was very difficult to skate on. The people at the venue said this was because of the synthetic ice... The best we could manage was a little shuffle to get us around. (My other half grew up playing ice hockey and he also struggled) The bombed out church was beautiful as ever but with it being open air everywhere was wet and muddy and there was nowhere to leave shoes and bags other than under the narrow benches so it ended up getting a bit messy.

Review of Bombed Out Church Ice Rink
Venue is amazing and great for photographs although the synthetic ice rink makes it impossible to skate so the actual experience was a big let down. Kids came off after 15mins as did many others also disappointed.

Review of Bombed Out Church Ice Rink
The bombed out church itself is a lovely venue and the staff were all lovely, trying to make everyone have a great experience! However the price we paid and the experience we had were not equal. I understand that this was technically advertised as synthetic ice however this was not made obvious in advertisements or when booking. This should have been made clear . I hadn't heard of synthetic Ice before this event and didn't think to question whether it would be real ice or not, and as someone who goes ice skating every year and can very easily get around, this was impossible to skate on. You were basically either walking or shuffling to get around the "Ice" and it was more dangerous than safe as the floor was uneven. The size was small but that doesn't bother me so much as the bombed out church is not a big space itself, just that it was impossible to skate on. You'd expect to be able to skate on something called synthetic ice but me and my mate left after 15 mins of trying to skate on what is basically plastic. As someone who loves ice skating I was very disappointed with this event.

Review of Bombed Out Church Ice Rink
Really disappointed with this event. The ice rink was really small and you couldn't really skate around. Due to weather conditions which is uncontrollable, the rink and surrounding areas where muddy. The was no shelter or heat lamps so you were standing in the cold and rain while waiting. When getting ready to go on the ice you had no option but to sit on the wet benches and there was no where dry to store shoes and bags. Apart from the Christmas songs playing there was nothing really festive about the event. The only positive was that the staff were really pleasant and friendly. Really not worth the money at all.

Review of Bombed Out Church Ice Rink
Lovely surroundings at the bombed out church. The rink was very small, couldn't really "skate" more of a walk on ice skates.
Hot chocolate was £4, which made it a really expensive hour for 8 of us.
Wasn't great value for money, paid for the setting more than the actual ice skating.
Probably wouldn't repeat it.
