Review of Bombed Out Church Ice Rink
Sadly this is not an ice rink but a plastic rink. Whilst the location is inspiring and the staff friendly. Our experience was awful as we all found it impossible to skate on the white plastic panels underfoot in lieu of a frozen surface. A disappointing and potentially dangerous waste of time and money on my daughter's birthday.

Review of Bombed Out Church Ice Rink
The "ice rink" was terrible. I don't know how it passed healthy and safety or was infact allowed to be called an ice rink.It was basically tiles sprayed with water. A rip off at £26 for an adult and a child. The bar looked nice but I refused to buy anything out of principle,I didn't want to waste more money on this event. The venue was beautiful of course and the staff were very pleasant. Overall wouldn't recommend,it wasn't an ice rink.

Review of Bombed Out Church Ice Rink
The venue was great and the staff were fantastic, the only issue was that it was not an "ice rink" it was plastic and you couldn't skate on it. Most adults have left after 20 mins as it was just not what you have paid for. The atmosphere, music, staff and the venue were amazing but the ice skating itself I would not recommend.

Review of Bombed Out Church Ice Rink
Such a disappointing evening. What we thought would be a magical event for our family turn out to be a plastic rink, no Christmas atmosphere & lots of really confused people walking around.
How can you get such an incredible venue so wrong? Such a shame!

Review of Bombed Out Church Ice Rink
Has the potential to be amazing. Yet the rink wasn't slippy at all meaning everybody basically walked around it. People including us came off after a few minutes to complain. My son couldn't even push the skate aid across it as you couldn't glide across it at all. Tried getting a refund but been told to wait 7 days and if I don't get one, to assume I'm not getting one as it's at the discretion of the bombed out church. Should have been lovely but was a massive disappointment and now I'm £60+ down ?"

Review of Bombed Out Church Ice Rink
I love the bombed out church but the "ice" skating was terrible. The rink was a tiny square of artificial plastic sheets and barely anyone could move. It was like stomping around on MDF and a complete waste of money. There was no guidance on how to put on the adjustable skates which were as blunt as spoons. More than half the people booked onto our timeslot left after 20 mins. This is the only time I've ever seen people get muddy falling over on an "ice rink". Terrible!

Review of Bombed Out Church Ice Rink
What an immense disappointment! Our much-anticipated evening, filled with the promise of magic in a stunning venue, turned out to be nothing short of a letdown. As a group of 12, including six excited children, we embarked on what was supposed to be a memorable experience, only to find ourselves thoroughly disappointed.
The artificial ice rink, touted as the centrepiece of the event, was a complete letdown. Uneven and unfit for its intended purpose, it shattered any hopes of a delightful skating session. Even as a competent skater, I found myself reduced to shuffling, unable to enjoy the activity I had been looking forward to. The children, brimming with anticipation and excitement, were similarly let down.
To make matters worse, the session quickly lost its appeal. Within a mere five minutes, 90% of the participants had left the ice, rendering the once-anticipated atmosphere virtually nonexistent. The disappointment intensified, leaving us with a sense of disillusionment.
Attempting to address the issue with the staff proved futile, as no satisfactory resolution or conclusion was reached that night. Considering the hefty price tag of £50 for a family ticket, the overall experience was far from worth it. Regrettably, I can confidently say that I won't be returning to relive this disappointment.

Review of Bombed Out Church Ice Rink
What they called 'artificial ice' was not even frozen it was wet plastic floor. Such a shame because I love the bombed out church events normally but this was just bad we went around once, realised we could walk on it and then just left to try and get it refunded but the staff were not budging and said it was advertised as artificial ice. If you google artificial ice though it is what most ice rinks have and is still made with real ice!!!! Just artificially frozen. HUGE rip off I feel bad for anyone going, even the children we were in a group with didn't like it.

Review of Bombed Out Church Ice Rink
I think this night was a total waste of money. The bombed out church looked beautiful with the fairy lights up but the actual ice rink was a total joke. It was just white plastic with a man with a hose spraying water on it. There was no way to skate, we just shuffled our way around the tiny rink. We left after 10 minutes. Lots of families were asking for a refund and was told No. Avoid at all costs. A total waste of £50. I never leave reviews but I thought that people should be warned.

Review of Bombed Out Church Ice Rink
Obviously the venue is amazing! But the "ice rink" is literally just a load of plastic boards stuck together. Felt a bit miss sold considering there is literally zero ice involved. Doesn't feel like real ice skating and you're basically shuffling around for 45 minutes because there's no 'glide' that you get from normal ice skating.
Great atmosphere though and mulled wine was tasty.

Review of Bombed Out Church Ice Rink
Really small ice rink which was basically plastic with the staff spraying water on it to make slippy. Boots kept coming loose so had to change, seemed to be an issue with quite a few people. Most people we seen did not stay on ice for the full session as not enjoyable. Really disappointing and not worth the money
