Review of Valentines Party
We chose to go to The Valentines night with Ebie Isaacs because we've seen him before and think his voice and personality are amazing.
We arrived at 7 o'clock to be greeted by two members of staff who were extremely pleasant, went upstairs and realised we were the only people there,
Eventually it started getting busier .
Ebie came on and he as usual was brilliant. Then the buffet was served which was " adequate ".
Ebie did a second stint but, was all finished for 10.30 and the atmosphere just died!
By 11.30 the bar was closed and people were putting their coats on to go home!
For £27.50 each plus taxis there and back and drinks it was an expensive night which didn't exactly leave us on a high.
We think if the entertainment had on been slightly later and for a bit longer the night would have been more of a success.
But again I commend the bar staff and gentleman on the door who were very pleasant, and also the club room and toilets were spotlessly clean and welcoming.

Review of The Carlton Venue
A parent from my childs class kindly organized for some the kids to go to Carlton Venue orrell park for Christmas party get together. £7.50 per adult and child advertised as Santa and gift, Disco, part games, party food and selection box.
After sitting for an hour and half the organizer were asked where the food was to be told, there is no food we've only paid £7.50 (advertisement says food)🤣 People had to go the chippy to feed their hungry kids food as they had saved themselves for the food.
After being pulled by a few people. A small amount of party food arrived but there wasn't enough for the people at the back of the que. Bare in mind minority of adults didn't eat as they new there wasn't going to be enough for the kids alon.
People began to leave early because there was no party games kids just running around the tables how there was no accidents was beyond me.
One member of the party asked when the games where starting but was told there's too many kids for games 🫣 why sell so many tickets then.....?
There was Santa who was overheating so had to go and come back kids left upset nit understanding that he will be back.
The music.... 🫣 I understand it was a CHRISTMAS party but it wasnt a party for OAP'S it was for kids.
They could see people were getting upset so quickly done a game of musical statues.
At the end a lady pulled the organizer about how awful the food was and that the kids where board with no games it. I went to have my say to show it was all of us complaining. And I got from the male......
"Listen I pay a lot of money to take my kids to see Santa You've paid £7.50 what do you expect."
I actually paid £22.50 because Adults also had to pay £7.50 🤣 and in there eyes was only going to be getting to see Santa ,a present and selection box for that price because apparently there was going to be no food
I also explained our party paid £350 for him to laugh at me and say, "oh your the idiot that never left your phone number." I didn't book but we did leave a number as the organizer txt messaged us 🤣
Then ALOT of other upset mums came to tell him their thoughts. Where he then got angry and we got told to get our kids and off we pop and he doesn't want to ever see our faces in the carlton again! 🥹 Which makes me sad I was looking forward to going back.
Upon leaving we revived a selection box from an elf who was the most pleasant of the party as she interacted with the children.
I've also been made aware that Santa was one of the workers possibly part of the owners so they didn't pay much to hire him like did they 🤣
If the organizer would have just said. Apologies it's our first children's party we have ever done. We shouldn't have put food on the advertisement as we was trying to make it affordable as possible for families in these hard times. And we will learn from our mistakes. That would have done me but he got really aggressive and didn't like his comment how he looked down on us for only paying £7.50 while he pays a lot more for his kids.
This was just something on the side for most of our kids as they all have been/going to see Santa at bigger venues. This was just a class party get to gether
