From start to finish the day was a shambles. Understaffed, undertrained and poor service. I had let the team know in advance I was pregnant and could only have certain foods, yet I was then questioned when I mentioned not being able to have soft cheese’s and fish. Some of the cakes were made with soft cheese. Some people with other allergies were left with no food.
Entertainment was one man doing both Motown and Michael bouble but led to believe it was a band along with a singer just not very good entertainment.
The service took nearly three hours to get tea for our afternoon tea and two hours before we received the afternoon tea. Toilets were filthy and staff were not accommodating. The photographer took a photo and was so snotty when we said we didn’t like the photo with some of us with our eyes closed. Very pushy. Just a rubbish day and sad as the titanic and jame street have had some lovely times wouldn’t go again. Don’t recommend it. If you can’t accommodate for guests or find time to train staff then don’t have events. Friends were thinking of the shankley for the wedding but having second thoughts after todays experience. Poor.

Event got cut short due to problems that the hotel staff should have handled better. The event was meant to last until 1 in the morning but only got till 11at night. We spent £400 on drinks for the night and most of them went to waste because of the early closing.

Absolute disgrace, massive ques at the bar floor was complete drenched & the worst part is the y kicked everyone out early bcos of someone with a knife

Closed at 11 when last entry was 9
£50 for 2 hours! It was supposed to be on till 1am. The bar was a ridiculous wait of 30 minutes.
Floor was soaking, I saw people falling over.

The whole event was just shambles, the floor was like an ice ring it was that slippy I was to scared to dance incase I would fall, not enough bar staff waited nearly half an hour at the bar for a drink toilets was being used by both men and women, and they event got shut down at 11pm and it was ment to finish at 1am, i wouldn't go again. Was not worth the £45 entry.

Absolutely terrible! Don’t book or waste your money on this event! Company don’t know how to control anyone. Bouncers don’t know how to control anyone or especially their own temper! Terrible & rude atmosphere. Payed £50 to be told to get out by 11pm, 2 hours before the event finished. Will never pay money for this place again!
