Review of Gilad Atzmon, Terence Collie Duo
What a great setting for a classic duo performance by Gilad and Terence: the 1901 Arts Club is a wonderfully intimate venue for chamber events, with friendly, helpful staff and an excellent bar and lounge upstairs. Terry is always reliable in supporting or leading a very wide range of musicians. Gilad was a revelation to me, having outrageously prodigious technique on alto and soprano saxes and clarinet. I normally cringe when I see a "modernist" playing the latter as it reminds me of (for me) the bad old days of British trad jazz. He also has a fantastic, cheeky sense of humour which brilliantly rounded out the whole performance. What a shame he is moving to Greece - another tragic consequence of you-know-what.

Review of Gilad Atzmon, Terence Collie Duo
Very good indeed. Nearly perfect if that's possible. Gilad was carried away with In a Sentimental Mood, though still enjoyed. And Terence Collie is great as an accomplice and playing along. Great when, I think they were playing two Trane numbers at the same time. Lovely place and great crowd.

Review of Mornington Lockett and Terence Collie
I saw Mornington perform back in the 1990s, so I knew that it would be a pleasure to attend. My wife saw him and Terrence for the first time and she thoroughly enjoyed the performance and was impressed with the detail given about the pieces played.
