Review of noisenight138: Sidiki Dembélé Ensemble
Fantastic evening of joyous live East African music at Islington Assembly Hall last night. The venue is comfortable (with a dash of old glamour) and easy to get to. I liked the choice between standing and unreserved seating on the balcony (with its own well stocked bar and toilets).
The musicians were superb and so were the audience. A really diverse mixed of people of all ages and race backgrounds, vibing together.
Well priced, good communication and fantastic experience on the night.

Review of noisenight138: Sidiki Dembélé Ensemble
As african music lover, I expected more fire, more energetic / trans music. I was disappointed. Sounded more like Chinese music 😆, few sounds and vocal. Luckily I have another ticket for tonight , hoping to have good, deep dance, which I could not have at Islington.

Review of noisenight138: Sidiki Dembélé Ensemble
Phenomenal evening! Sidiki and his musical family brought the rhythm, soul, spirit and vast skies of West Africa to Islington. It was a privilege to share their music. Thank you, Through the Noise, your concerts are always a joy!
