Si Cranstoun was amazing but the venue was very disappointing. not enough chairs, despite saying doors open at 7 the doors to the actual dancehall weren't opened til turned 8 which meant a mad scramble for seats. the state of the dance floor was appalling and almost undanceable as it was so sticky and I really thought I might injure my knee trying to spin so danced on the carpet area.

A brilliant night dancing to Si Cranstoun . What a great live performer and amazing band. He is so friendly and has time for everyone for photos etc. The size of the hall was perfect, not to crowded . The only negative comment is the the dance floor could have been bigger. Overall a very enjoyable evening with a great bunch of people.

seen si before so knew what to expect ,another brilliant night out , great music,great people ,great dancin ,great venue my only downer was i couldn't down load the ticket as i haven't got a smart phone so contacted skiddle & they arraigned for my name to be on the door with prove of payment ,as i've had similar difficulty's in the past i Evan rang the venue to confirm this & they said all names will be on the door ,typically when i get there no name on the door ,luckily i could get the picture of the ticket up so i toke a piccy of it before i went ,but still annoying & embarrassing when this happen eds

Leaving the guests waiting over an hour before they let us in the venue. And plastic cups!!! Not very green . We are not teenagers

Si cranstoun was brilliant. Shame customers had to carry in chairs to sit on as not enough put out. Second time I've seen this done at the mercure. Dance floor inadequate, should be flat. Drinks too expensive.

A great night with fantastic music and some amazing dancers. The only downside was that the band have outgrown the venue - not everyone was able to sit at a table. The bar was reasonably priced and the burgers were good. A few more tables or a dinner dance format would have made it perfect for us. Most of the people appeared to be there to dance their socks off so it was probably perfect for them and we were in the minority.

It has not put us off booking to see Si Cranstoun in Portsmouth later this year and we now know what to expect.

Music was great, Si was amazing. Unfortunately lots of people were standing which limited the view and slightly dampened the enjoyment as the stage is not very high.
