Review of Twisting the night away with Si Cranstoun
Si is as brilliant as ever and everyone was dancing but the venue was poorly ready, the very expensive drinks were in plastic cups, we were not allowed in the event room till 8 30 when were told much earlier, when we did get into the room there were not enough table and chairs and people were asking for more, my partner has a terminal illness and needs a seat along with my friends husband who has a very bad back, from being the first people to arrive at the venue to myself and my friend hunting down for a table and chair as by the time we were allowed in the very few tables and chairs were already taken leaving more than half of the paying guests standing at the back I really don’t think this is good enough, we have seen Si many times and will continue to do so but the venue was a complete let down

Review of Twisting the night away with Si Cranstoun
Si Cranstoun was amazing, and every bit as good as when I've seen him live many times before. A very under-appreciated and extremely talented musician, as are his band. The sound was clear and loads of people were dancing, which was well worth watching in itself. Highly recommended.

Review of Twisting the night away with Si Cranstoun
Follower of his music and came back to my old hometown-from the Cotswolds-hotel much bigger than it used to be but didn't cater for the amount of people who had bought tickets-long wait to get in, standing for nearly an hour while room was 'set up' and once we got it the tables allocated were not enough causing staff who were in very short supply to bring more stacking chairs in-bar inadequately staffed and dance floor far too small and sticky (from spilt drink) from last time used hadn't been cleaned

Review of Twisting the night away with Si Cranstoun
The tickets said doors open at 7 but that was only to the bar so although we were one of the first in, the doors to the hall didn't open til turned 8 which meant there was a mad scramble for the chairs. The dance floor was awful and had obviously not been cleaned since the previous event which meant it was nearly impossible to dance on. Si Cranstoun, on the other hand, was brilliant! I've seen him before and I'd definitely see him again but not at this venue.

Review of Twisting the night away with Si Cranstoun
The organisation at the hotel was utter c**p. We were told the doors opened at 7 at that seating was on a first come first serve basis. We arrived at the venue at about 6.30 to find absolutely no signs or notices about where to go. After asking several times, we were told the doors would open at 8.30 and in the meantime we should wait in the bar, where they were 12 seats!! Some many people complained that they opened the doors early at 8.10 by which time we were last through the door and unable to find a seat. The dance floor was tiny, despite my telling them when I booked my tickets that Si has a huge following amongst Jive dancers. It was also so dirty and sticky it was almost impossible to dance on so people were dancing on the carpet next to it. Si was great but I will never go to another event at that place again.

Review of Fathers Day - Fawlty Towers Comedy Lunch
Performance was great unfortunately the venue was badly organised !
Firstly when everyone turns up at the same time for the event and the bar only has one till then perhaps people should have been seated and drinks ordered from the table via the waiters .
Secondly I think environmental health might have something to say about the food (main course)being on the counter from the start ,so by the time people had all had their starters some hour and a quarter later we were called for the main .
Potatoes and broccoli were warm , cauliflower cheese was hard to break into and my Yorkshire pudding could have been used by parcelforce as packaging
Good idea, would probably been more suited to a better function room and by far someone to organise/ coordinate proceedings
If Mercury Great Danes could get it right then you could be on to a winner!
Review of Easter Sunday Eggstravaganza Family Lunch
Asked to arrive by 12.30 the left waiting in the lobby for 40 mins with restless children. The food was nice, but the layout was unorganised. Unable to get to the starter table due to queues for the Carvery. Then people confused as to when to go up to get food, nothing was explained
