Review of Dirty Dancing Bottomless Brunch - Manchester
A really great event, the atmosphere was so much fun! The drinks, music and entertainment was brill, would highly recommend- maybe add another hour of fizz onto the slot so we can sit down more rather than stay in the queue- absolutely brill anyway!

Review of Dirty Dancing Bottomless Brunch - Manchester
I've watched quite a lot of drag and I thought the 2 queens hosting this event were rubbish. It all felt very 'bad all inclusive entertainment' from start to finish and none of it felt well thought through. The only thing dirty dancing about it was some of the music and playing a few snippets on the screens. Had a lovely time with my mates, but as an event, it was totally naff.

Review of Dirty Dancing Bottomless Brunch - Manchester
I've already emailed the company to express my disappointment in the event. As a Dirty Dancing fan and someone who works in the Performing Arts industry, I was disappointed with the suitability and quality of the act, the choice of the style in which it was presented, but particularly the music played by the DJ which was not at all in keeping with the theme. It felt like some sort of formula is created for these events with a drunken audience in mind that can be fobbed off with som**hing that wasn't authentic, nostalgic or high quality. A missed opportunity to show some innovation and creativity in bringing an iconic film back to people who loved it. Clearly no-one with any theatre or film or entertainment experience other than boozy party packages was involved in this.

Review of Dirty Dancing Bottomless Brunch - Manchester
This event was mis sold, two tiny glasses of bubbles in an hour due to queues... no food, so was certainly not brunch... drags looked great but were not entertainers. A real let down

Review of Oktoberfest - Manchester
I think this was a cheeky sale by Freight Island. We registered on the waitlist as the Oktoberfest tick*ts were sold out. We got a notification that some tick*ts were available. On the mezzanine I think it said with restricted view, but didn't warn that it basically wasn't in the event at all! When we turned up we were in an upstairs area, with a little view over the balcony to what was happening in the main area but most of the balcony was screened off, but no access to that area, no video screens showing the action (just old films) and basically just a bar and tables with the fun going on in a different area. For £15 + booking fee per person. We'd have had a better view in the lower section near the food stalls which had no entry fee. I don't think this will be the only review like this - lots of people looked quite fed up and left early. The event itself looked great, this just shouldn't have been sold under the guise of the same event. PS food stalls also closed running up to 9pm, and the steins were sold out early and we weren't told to get them when we arrived so all in all a bit of an unwhelming evening!

Review of Oktoberfest - Manchester
We paid £25pp to sit in the mezzanine, where we could barely hear the music, hosts and couldn't see any visuals - the atmosphere was extremely dull. I have been to previous Oktoberfest events at other venues which have been much better

Review of Oktoberfest - Manchester
Absolutely atrocious. Didn't buy the VIP tick*ts (as these had sold out) but they should have been the only tick*ts available because they were the only seats that constituted being in the 'beer hall'. The mezzanine seating we were in had no atmosphere as hardly anyone else had booked - it felt like a segregated area and you couldn't see any of the stage.
To top it off, only 1 German beer was available, no steins were available unless you bought the VIP tick*ts (you couldn't buy them after the fact), no bratwurst and no lederhosen wearing servers coming out to the table.
I also could not find anyone who represented the event to actually complain to on the night. We left after just over an hour.
All in all, a joke reminiscent of the willy wonka experience debacle.
I've been to the actual beer festival in Munich - whoever put this travesty on clearly had not.
I want my money back and will never use this venue again.
