Review of Sounds From the Other City 2018
An incredible festival with a great atmosphere and so much going on. Its a uniquely wild experience. The eccentricity of the illustration and the creation of 'Soundstown' is brilliant and everyone seemed comfortable calling venues by their new names. Everything felt easy, never too many queues or too much queuing and a full packed programme. The crowd were friendly and relaxed. throughly enjoyable day/night out and excellent value for money.

I love going to this festival. I was slightly disappointing with the bands this year though - there a few better known names last year. Really happy with the venues and the vibe.

Good variety of music, decent food options, crazy mix of venues (GPs surgery?!), almost a shame the weather was so nice as it was tempting to just have a beer in the sun!

This is an excellent day festival. Loved the fact it was spread across numerous venues but all within walking distance of each other. Great vibe. If your open minded, enjoy art and music this is well worth a visit. Different genres of music that were interesting and some great acts. Its certainly alternative but as a nearby resident i would always support it. Good day out had by all with a nice friendly chilled vibe.

As excellent as ever! Saw slightly fewer bands this year- the weather was so good we spent more time outdoors! My only negative remark - trading estate units ran out of decent beer too quickly - more IPA, golden ales etc please - less sour beers and grapefruit which was all any of the central venues seemed to have left by 9pm.
But that’s a minor quibble when the music, art and fun are this good! Roll on SFTOC 2019!

Maybe not the strongest line up compared with previous years; or maybe my music radar wasn’t as well tuned as before.
But atmosphere., organisation & general vibe as good as ever.
Thanks

The nice weather helps as you stroll between venues, but whatever is happening outside, this day provides a great showcase for lots of new and up and coming acts. Every year I discover a new favourite. There are great pubs dotted around and some amazing food stalls (Dim Sum Su was ace).

Great day, plenty of choice in every respect, music, venues, food and drink.
I could maybe have done with a more detailed map for the venues but volunteers were all helpful and friendly as usual.
