Review of High Fade
Great band and a great. However didn't appreciate being charged £19.30 for a pint of lager and a drink for my daughter. (not a "c**ktail" !) Absolutely crazy, and i won't be going to this venue again just for that.

Review of Bowie's Birthday: An Orchestral Celebration
The band as a whole was ok and the addition of strings was nice. However, the night was meant to be a celebration of Bowie's music but the 2 lead singers seemed more into themselves, they had IPADs on the mike stands .... I'm hoping this was for a set list and not because they didn't know the words (although some were sung with incorrectly). An argument broke out in the crowd over spilt drinks, which at £24.60 for 2 pints and a double gin :-( I'm not surprised at. I ended up leaving early as I wasn't enjoying it. I go to lots of gigs, but just wasn't feeling this one ... the musicians were good, the vocalists were proficient but I felt part of a big Bowie bandwagon that had been jumped on rather than being in the presence of a band or singers who were proper fans of Bowie.
