Review of The B.S.R.A. Big 7 National Scooter Rally 2024
My 3rd big 7 and by far the worst. I hope it goes back to the show ground. The venue was expensive no cash and the selection of beer was horrendous. I feel sorry for the staff as there was no beer on the campsite and only one choice of food. Big 7 has always been a good event but this one was a shambles and if its at Margate next year I won't be going. On a positive the beach bar run by a local jet ski club was amazing the only food vendor was spot on and nice people. Also thanks to the staff who looked after the campsite although not a good event the staff were spot on. I hope its back to normal next year please 🙏

Review of The B.S.R.A. Big 7 National Scooter Rally 2024
Great organisation/costs/facilities at the campsite, despite a few communication issues about the minibus. But drinks prices at Dreamland were totally ridiculous. Security was also excessive, but I suppose they've got to pay for it somehow.....

Review of The B.S.R.A. Big 7 National Scooter Rally 2024
Sadly the venue lacked any atmosphere. The fact that you couldn't leave and re-enter made us feel trapped. The drinks were very expensive and we left early. Wrong venue for this kind of event.

Review of The B.S.R.A. Big 7 National Scooter Rally 2024
Venue itself just didnt live up to expectation. If you checked in and then wanted to pop out and come back the staff would not allow you back in .. not as good as last year

Review of The B.S.R.A. Big 7 National Scooter Rally 2024
Such a shame. Northern room closed on Saturday, drinks were expensive for cheap rubbish. Our group of 30 were so disappointed in the venue. Door staff not helpful as no one could walk our female friend out to a taxi and then get back in even though they could watch you from the door. We've all been to loads of scooter rallies over 20+ years and I have to say the worst organised venue we have ever been to.

Review of The B.S.R.A. Big 7 National Scooter Rally 2024
Campsite was nearly an hour away from the entertainment, no wristbands so anyone could walk onto the campsite unopposed, worst custom show in many a year; hardly any entrants because they had to be there from 0900 till 1600, very disappointing.
Venue was ok but no wristbands so once you were in you had to stay in, no re admittance.
Lack of seating at the venue, most of us there were late 50's/mid 60's.
Location of rally was terrible, it needs to be central in Kent, not at the furthest seaside resort.
Plus points;
Great idea about ordering patches and tee shirts before you arrive, been to many rallies where you arrive and all the patches and tee's are gone because people get 6 patches for mates who aren't even there.
Good and clear visibility of the rally staff.
Excellent and well marshalled ride out.
Bring back the Big 7, if not possible then somewhere near it.
KTF.

Review of The Margate Reggae Festival
Lots of petty rules regarding entry to site - some of which security couldn't explain; then we are trapped in the venue, being unable to leave & re-enter - so we have to pay extortionate prices for food and drink (£15 for a beefburger), particularly as we are unable to bring our own food and drink (incl water) into the venue. Very disappointing
