Review of Festival of Comedy 2024
A loud group with no respect made a lot of noise in the VIP bar area and were shouting across the table to each other and ignoring any act, this put off numerous people who paid for VIP access and had it ruined by them.

Review of Disco Kids Newport 2024
The vendors prices inside were horrific. £6.50 for a basic pancake, absolutely disgusting considering you canât take your own food. This is meant to be a family event, and yet there is adults thatâs meant to e responsible drinking and getting completely drunk. I wouldnât take my children back to this atmosphere/event next year.

Review of Party At The Park Newport
Negatives: There was a problem with the park and ride from Newport Live - we arrived at 3.30pm in time to watch 'Big Mac' but the coach didn't turn up - a number of people had been waiting since 3.00pm. We had to drive a number of our party to the venue and then 2 of us had to take the cars back to the park and ride and walk to the event. It did get sorted and when we arrived at the event the 1st coach arrived from the park and ride! We missed Big Mac and arrived just in time for Martin Kemp.. The park and ride was great at end of night, no delays. I have emailed to ask for my money back for half of the cost of the park and ride which I think is fair as the service wasn't provided but have not had a response.
In addition, the sound system wasn't good for the Earth, Wind and Fire experience - too bassy. We think there was a problem with the system as they started 20 minutes after their time slot and there was lots of discussion in the sound system area!
Positives: Good atmosphere, fair prices for food and drink. Odessey was excellent - should have been on the big stage. Venue was good except for the park and ride!

Review of Disco Kids Newport 2024
I would recommend although there definitely needs to be improvements to make it better.
Last year they had a bubble lady who created the most amazing bubbles with ropes which was awesome & the kids loved it but this year she wasn't there.
This year They didn't have the people dressed up on stilts either which was a shame as that makes it feel like a proper festival.
It was really good to have a couple of fair ground rides this year.
Didn't open the gates until 12.08 & then there was a hold up as there was no scanners in a lane, so didn't even get into event until 12.24 even though was right at the front of the queue.
Felt sorry for dj luck & mc neat as had no crowd to play for as people were still trying to get into the venue.
Bluey was not well advertised, only found out about it when I went on insta whilst at the festival & the insta page said bluey was coming out 20 mins ago - had a disappointed child that missed her. There should have been some advanced info that said what time & where bluey would be coming out.
Social media communication has been shocking. I have made several comments on insta & fbbefore the event & got no response.
Tickets are cheap & it's within an hours drive for me which is why we have returned 2 years in a row. We are hoping that next year will be better if it's not we will not return.
Looking at other videos of festivals such as raver tots & tots fest I think disco kids could learn a lot from that

Review of Festival of Comedy 2024
2nd time going to festival of comedy. The venue changed from the one we booked. Coronation Park was less central and more difficult to get to.
The main issue we had this time was the VIP area. It was full with staff who took about 2/3 of the chairs in the area and used them all night! Also only one person on the bar for most of the evening. So much for the extra ticket price...we ended up sitting on the grass by the stage as no seats were available.

Review of Festival of Comedy 2024
Had a great time at the Festival in Comedy and would recommend. My only advice would be not to bother paying for the parking. The directions, both by email and using the three word location finder, took us, and many other people, to a completely different place where the parking was completely free. It was approximately a 20 minute walk. Signage was not great. I'll know to save myself £16 if it's at the same venue next year.
The Festival in itself was great though. The queues for food, sadly, were not.
