Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Outdoor Tribute Festival - Norwich!
Would have been better if you could take in your own food and soft drinks. The free water that was offered tasted and smelled of the plastic water butt it was kept in

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Outdoor Tribute Festival - Norwich!
There was only 3 food vendors at the event and the queues were for all of them were ridiculous. I personally was in line for 2 hrs 30 before I was served. They don't tie any vendors into attending the event, so it is pot luck who arrives. If this was the strategy, I would allow customers to bring their own food. Needless to say I missed one and a half acts as I was queuing, and missed the other half as I was eating my food.
Otherwise the acts were a mixed bag some great, some ok. Queue for the bar was fine. Plenty of loos, which were pretty clean and had loo roll. Enough security about too. I wouldn't recommend this event.

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Outdoor Tribute Festival - Norwich!
Your not allowed to take food in..why? Only to make you buy theirs at inflated prices. Over an hour in a queue because not enough food outlets. Drinks over priced for what they were selling. VIP option not worth it. Crammed in with fences in the way. Better view from standard ticket which we moved to.
You do get separate toilets and bar in VIP which is better when busy.
Having said all that, the bands were really good with a great atmosphere.
We enjoyed the evening and would go again. Warm dry weather helped.

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Outdoor Tribute Festival - Norwich!
Appalling organisation from the start: no information as to venue limitations etc before hand (apparently it was there on the morning of the concert!) nor information about the line up. If a company isn't going to allow people to bring food in then they need to provide adequate catering. We waited for over 2 hours and 15 minutes for pizza; talking to people in other lines, their wait was approaching 2 hours. this was not just at one time; there were long queues throughout the day. Not the fault of the THREE caterers available - they were overwhelmed. Tribute acts were amateur in most cases, with dodgy vocals, Elton John was excellent and actually sounded like him, and Abba and Queen got the crowds going. Otherwise ' lookalike' - no, but not even sound alike. VIP area behind tall fencing that obstructed view and toilets smelt from earlier on - possibly not emptied from the previous day. As always, drinks were expensive - £3 for a small tumbler of c**e. The saving grace were the security staff and bar staff who were unfailingly polite and pleasant. In a nutshell: don't waste your money, unless they allow you to take food in in future and you don't mind seeing second rate acts.

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Outdoor Tribute Festival - Norwich!
The acts and music were good. But only 3 food vendors for this size of event?? Queuing for an hour and a half for food was not acceptable. Apart from this was a good afternoon/evening and tickets were good value.

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Outdoor Tribute Festival - Norwich!
This was our first experience of going to a festival and will not be repeating the experience with this company.
We paid extra for the VIP experience of fast pass entry, separate enhanced viewing area, VIP bar and better toilets.
What a joke!
We worked out which of the two long queues was for the vip fast pass entrance, despite there being minimal signing or staff present to help, but many people didn't, causing problems as they then didn't want to go to the back of the other queue when they realised their mistake.
Once the staff opened the standard entry gates, three of them, the queue flowed smoothly and they progressed quickly into the venue.
However, the VIP queue remained stationary as the one gate, where everyone had to have a wrist band fitted, struggled to cope despite the staff's valiant effort to deal with the issue.
They were taking so much stick from the disgruntled VIP customers, that had had to queue for a hour, they all did very well to remain calm and polite.
Having finally entered the site we went to the VIP area to find a small area, set well off to one side with the oblique view of the small stage obstructed by a tall builders fence. Having been to a few outside concerts with a VIP package, the designated area usually has at least some direct frontage onto the stage, but on this occasion the stage was so small that this wasn't the same and there were no large screens so you could at least view the performers on there.
(I've tried to post a picture I took of this 'non view' to this post but the editing app doesn't appear to allow that! I wonder why not? A picture is worth a thousand words springs to mind.)
The music started and, realising that we had come to see tribute acts, I wasn't expecting the real thing, but as we had seen some cracking tribute acts recently, I thought that they would all, at least, be good enough to be entertaining.
Some of them were merely passable, with the Elton John act easily the best, because at least he could sing.
However the Beatles act and ABBA act may have been better than they seemed. It's difficult for me to say as they were on as I had to queue for 1hr and 40 minutes right at the back of the venue to try and get some food, during a ten hour event, were you are not allowed to take in any food or drinks whatsoever.
The three 'street food' vendors quality was passable except for the prices. You expect to pay over the odds at this type of gig, but the prices were eye wateringly expensive for very mediocre food.
The layout of the three vendors seemed to suggest that they were independent of each other, but a close look (I had an hour and forty minutes to kill) showed that they are all the same business, working out of the same truck behind the scenes, so quite a lucrative monopoly for the owners.
Returning to discuss the VIP area it was, by far, too small for the amount of people with wrist bands and the bar prices were the same as the prices at the general bar, so it wasn't clear what made it a VIP bar.
The prices were very expensive, as you would expect, but the staffs approach to 'weights and measures' legislation was laughable with them filling flimsy unmarked disposable cups, with the 187ml measure of white wine by eye. The measures were so obviously under sized we resorted to paying the slightly higher price for the full 750ml bottle at £25 (6.99 retail) as, at least, you knew you were getting what you had paid for.
By now, you can probably guess we were completely underwhelmed with our experience and felt completely ripped off, but as a parting line I would just like to say how excellent all the security staff were. They were taking a lot of verbal stick, but all remained calm and polite despite what must have been a difficult experience for them to be in.

Review of Save The Rave: Outdoor 90's Festival - Norwich!
Well organised. Good bar and toilets. Majority of the music was rubbish. Not 90s rave at all. Very repetitive all the DJs bar Lisa pin up and Rob tissera literally played the same songs on repeat. 1 out of 10 would not recommend

Having bought tickets for this event ,up until just before going The only information we could get Was from other festivals of the same but we decided not to go as we weren't allowed to take food in or soft drinks. This I feel is unacceptable as apparently the prices inside were horrendous.

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Outdoor Tribute Festival - Norwich!
With all the 1000s of people there you only had 3 food vendors. We queued for 2 hours 15 minutes to get some food. And when we got to the front of the queue the vender was running out of ingredients so we couldn't have what we wanted anyway.
Also the free water that was provided tasted foul and was warm.
We should be aloud to bring in our own food and drink, there were many people I spoke to there that could not afford to eat the food there. Especially if they were a family.
Other than the issue of food and water, I totally enjoyed the event.

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Outdoor Tribute Festival - Norwich!
I have attended many events at Earlham Park No in the past and I found the Look A Like event on 4th of August very disappointing.
The fact that the stage was in a different location to lover ground was not ideal, only 3 food stands to cater for so many people didn't work, not being able to take own food and non alcoholic drinks I think is despicable. No general stands(clothing and other as at previous festivals)
Generally poor atmosphere, not just my opinion but lots of people I spoke to during the time I attended with my family all said the same. If all future enents at this venue are the same I be you may receive alot more negative feedback.
Regards Andi
