Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Outdoor Tribute Festival - Norwich!

We thought the food situation was appalling, the prices and the queues let it down, we queued for 50 minutes then gave up and left early as we needed to eat so was disappointed and didn't see the last two acts who we wanted to see, there were only 3 food outlets and all had very long queues some people queued for 2 hours, if you could have taken your own food in it would have been different also we saw quite a few people with their own food and some with alcohol which is not very fair

Great selection of bands, but I would have liked to know in advance who was on and when. I missed seeing David Bowie just by a few moments because there was no set list. There was a fairground ride very close to the stage, and there was bleed-over of noise, which was very annoying. There was a good range of food stalls, but I would request a waffle or pancake or cake/cookies stall for next time, please! And a hot drinks provider - coffee or hot chocolate would have been much appreciated. Other than that, it was very well staffed and organised, and we felt very safe there.

The music and venue were great.
Unfortunately, there were minuses.
The website suggested picnics were not allowed and only sealed bottles of water permitted.
People close to us had large quantities of wine and spirits, obviously brought from home, and many had food items also.
Picnics should definitely be allowed, especially as there were very few food outlets, only selling overpriced, greasy unhealthy food.

Only 3 food outlets so over 1 hour queue for food, bar ran out of wine, first music acts not loud enough fortunately the Queen tribute at the end were excellent with brilliant interaction with the audience. I think as people were leaving throughout the event, long before the evening it shows that this was the general consensus...people voted with their feet. Without being able to bring food or adequate outlets you could not stay without eating all day.
It was a shame as the last act were worth staying for.

Acts were awful, ABBA was OK. So wrong that you can't take a picnic or soft drinks. As a non drinker it was disgusting that they were charging £3 for a tiny cup of c**e/lemonade or bottle of water. Also returned my £3 cup of tea as it tasted of chemicals! Ended up queuing hour and a half for a burger and chips. My friend queued over 2 hours for a pizza. It would of helped if they had more than 3 vendor's selling food for the amount of people. Toilets even ran out of toilet roll and hand sanitiser. We will definitely not be going next year if they return!

No food allowed in, so you have to buy from their food carts, the queues were about 2 hours and they were run poorly. Everything about the music was great, just the organisation was very very poor, put me off coming again

We went with four friends and spent most of the night queuing either for drinks or food. 2.5hrs we waited for pizza and chips. Not enough food choice, very dors. No sweet stall. Would be much better if you were allowed to being your own food and drink and spending time with your friends instead of queuing for food which was tasteless and ridiculously priced. Wouldn't bother again! The bands were good but everything else, very disappointing.

To start my review I will say that the performers were very good indeed but the experience was let down by the organisation of the event.
I'll start with the so called VIP tickets I bought, stupidly thinking of being able to jump the que and being under cover with somewhere to sit. Waited nearly an hour to get in via the VIP Que,most of the standard ticket holders were in by this point, and the first act was already performing,David Bowie, one of our favourites.
When eventually reaching the gate the security tried to take my wife's food,I asked have you got vegan options on offer,he replied "I'm not sure"at this point my wife stepped in and luckily we took it in because there was very limited food options available.
We the went to the so called VIP area were on entry we felt like we were put in a camp for naughty people,6ft fencing and not a very good view of the stage at all,no where to sit as we did not bring chairs as obviously thought there would be some.
And while I'm on about the stage, what muppet decided to put it at an angle to the natural hill ? Then put the vip area to the side facing away.and also no path ways to reach the front of the stage area,or leave the stage area.
We used the vip toilets which were supposed to be kept clean, that was beyond a joke.
The acts we watched were very good and entertaining but the last straw cam when we were told there would be 40mins before the next act, there was nothing to do while waitng so we went home, sadly didn't see any more performers who had put a lot more effort in than the organisers.
We've been to many events but have to say this was a big let down.

VIP had the worst view. Crammed in a small space. Toilets so smelly they made you gag. Music finished at 10pm, toilets locked at same time so no chance to use them before heading home. 2 hour queue for a portion of chips! This is not an exaggeration. Not enough facilities for the amount of people. Free drinking water out of a water butt! The acts were good but the facilities were very lacking. Definitely no benefit of being a VIP.

I was disappointed to have pre-paid parking as it turned out to be free, the parking for the event was not clear what so ever, this was our only negative issue.

I was very disappointed about the lack of signage to the venue and no guidance as to where to park. The ruling of no food to be taken in was a nightmare as the food outlets were inadequate, we had to wait 1.5 hours for some chips!!!. Not good enough, probably won't bother again!!

The gaps between performances were too long and the prices were very excessive for what was available.

Half of the acts we were promised never arrived. The acts that did play were very poor apart from Queen. Only 3 food vendors with massive queues. I had a friend travel from Kent to attend this with me and frankly it was embarrassing. I would like a partial refund for the bands we had paid to see but didn't show.

Let down by only having 3 food trucks so queues were often well over 1 to 1.5 hours. If you are not allowed to take any food in then there should be enough provision for all. There were many complaints on the day.

Why is Vip seating behind a fence thus blocking view of acts. We moved.

The Queen, David Bowie, Elton John and Oasis band were very good.

Gates where advertised at opening at 12 but he team didn't start getting the barriers sorted until 11:56 so delays in entering. VIP queue jump didn't make a difference as 1 vip and 3 standard lanes. VIP toilets and bar were worth the money even though drink prices were high ( bottle of vodka £140).

Acts were awesome.

Then it went down hill from there. Fair ground rides next to stage so you could here their music as well as the acts singing so that was a bit distracting.

Food situation was awful as you were not allowed to bring food in but there was oy 3 food trucks to feed the whole site. We missed Oasis, Beatles and ABBA as we were in the queue for 2.5 hours (yes, that long enough to get a pizza).

VIP area was behind heras fencing so you did feel a bit like a caged animal though they did try to make in nicer by putting up flowers.

We enjoyed the day but that was more because of the company ( me and friend) rather than the event.
