Review of NYE Warehouse 2023 // Norwich Warehouse Events // 31st December
NYE event was a bit of a let down. It was supposed to finish at 4am and the music stopped at 3am. There was no additional artists to fill the hour they had planned for and promised.
The prices of drinks were overpriced- 10 pounds for a double vodka lemonade. The good thing was the wait for the drinks queue was not long only had to wait a couple of minutes to be served. The shuttle bus which was running from the city centre to the event didn't show up- we were waiting over one hour, apparently it broke down. I think it was never organised and just a money making scheme. Security to the venue was decent to be fair- had a ten minute wait to get into the venue (pretty good) and the staff were kind and helpful. Apparently we are supposed to be refunded the cost of the shuttle bus because everyone had to book taxis.
I would not go back to the venue or the dancing astronaut events to be honest.

Review of Tales In The Warehouse Norwich | King of The Rollers & Charlie Sloth
I Really did not like Charlie sloth he completely killed the vibe. He's boring, too loud and obnoxious, and plays the same overplayed songs. I don't know why he would be at an event which most people go to for the drum and bass. Drum and bass was amazing though very good line-up and they all carried the same vibe throughout their sets. The lighting engineer was also very on point, didn't see him miss one drop or anything, very positive atmosphere.

Review of Tales In The Warehouse Norwich - NYE Takeover - 2 Rooms
It was a very enjoyable night. The combination of drum and bass mixed with the US/UK rap stage was a great idea and kept the energy high throughout the night.
However, there were a few issues that need to be addressed in order to improve the experience in the future. Firstly, the queue for the bar was chaotic and it took 35 minutes to get a couple of bottles of water. It would be helpful if a queue system was implemented to streamline this process. Additionally, a separate queue for water only would be useful as it seemed like a large portion of people were only wanting water and were congregating on the left side of the bar .
Another issue was the lack of organisation at the door. It took an additional 35 minutes to queue to get in, but once at the door, there was no one scanning tickets - they were just handing out wristbands. It seemed to move a lot more smoothly when they scanned tickets as people were being searched. This is how it was done previously and seemed to be a lot more efficient.
Finally, security in the bathrooms needs to be tightened. There were reports of some men entering the women's toilets and spiking people, and two men taking pictures of people over the cubicle in the male toilets.
Overall, while these issues marred the experience somewhat, it was still a very enjoyable night. I hope that the organisers take these issues into consideration in order to create an even better experience for attendees in the future.

Review of Tales In The Warehouse Norwich - NYE Takeover - 2 Rooms
The venue itself was really good, so was the acts. However, the security in place was not appropriate, only 5 security guards for the whole arena with a few assistants. for the majority of the evening, none where even at the front of the stage! Given that there was a large outdoor smoking area, the main entrance foyer (which was always crowded) and the main room, you would have thought they'd have more security.
When I arrived at the venue just after 7 (Doors @ 7) there was no signs to the car park, it wasn't until half an hour later when we where still queing that someone said all the cars had to be moved.

Que to get in was a joke. Only one small door to get through, had our IDs checked at twice but no one even scanned or checked tickets...
Only one bar was stupid, not only because it put people in such a mood from queuing over 30mintues just to get a drink but also missed out on making alotpre money as people were giving up.
lastly sound quality, just need better speakers or something you can still hear people talking over the top of the music
Good music, goodish vibes but poorly organised.

Tickets weren’t checked, awful atmosphere very aggressive. Security weren’t helpful, no first aid kit apparently when I asked. Worst experience I’ve ever had.
