Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Tribute Festival Newark
It was awful, it was advertised as an outdoor festival when we booked and when we arrived it was inside a aeroplane hanger which is not what you needed in the middle of summer! The alternative was to sit outside which was a car park and listen to the waltzers music as you couldn't hear the music outside. We stayed all of a few hours and left, very disappointed and we will not be returning again.

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Tribute Festival Newark
Had there been a schedule available online (as promised) we would have arrived earlier to see the acts we preferred. Instead ( since we have dogs to walk etc) we elected to "chance it" and arrive at 3pm and hope.
Consequently we missed "Bowie" and "Elton".
We were pleased to see Oaces with their lively set and then waited for "SPACE" . This group of talentless spice girl wannabees couldn't even find 45 mins of Spice Girl songs to sing, so filled in with a twenty minute karaoke of Motown favourites and watched the majority of the audience wander off to the bar outdoors.
The said bar was charging £7 for a can of nearly cold lager and £3 for a small glass of not very cold pepsi.
The fairground was mostly unoccupied ( due to it's complete lack of anything entertaining) and the "Street food" should have been thrown onto the "Street" so as to cut out the middle man.
Without a doubt, a complete waste of an afternoon.
Post an itinerary please, then I can choose how much of my weekend to waste.

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Tribute Festival Newark
We were looking forward to sitting on the grass in the sunshine. Instead we were inside a huge shed. Food was very limited- no street food as promised- " American street food " sold burgers. Small coffees at3.50 each was overpriced. We were not allowed to take food or drink in so out 10 year old had nothing to drink on a hot day except tap water from the sinks in the ladies. She doesn't drink fizzy drinks. Soft drinks were limited to fizzy or water. I take medication causes thirst but was not allowed to take in my drink of squash, nor the sweets we brought for my daughter despite the fact that no icecream or sweets were sold inside. Billed as a family event there was nothing for kids except an adult waltzer. Blaring music do you couldn't hear the bands if you sat outside in the sunshine- We mostly sat on the pavement outside the shed until we were too fed up and our daughter was bored so we went home.

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Tribute Festival Newark
Massive disappointment. Expecting an outdoor festival not tucked away in a hangar. Music line-up not as advertised. Lack of atmosphere - wouldn't bother again.

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Tribute Festival Newark
I was really disappointed. I came to the festival last year and thoroughly enjoyed it, but this year was completely different. It just didn't feel like a festival. There wasn't the same atmosphere. We were in what felt like a cattle shed and we had to sit in a carpark next to a toilet to enjoy the sunshine. Plus the number of acts had been considerably reduced. I won't be coming back next year.

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Tribute Festival Newark
Enjoyed the event the acts were very good, however food is expensive. They hadn't cleaned the floor in the hanger from the previous gig so it was sticky. I felt sorry for those who had not brought chairs.

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Tribute Festival Newark
Disappointed as 4 bands advertised were not on, these were the ones we came to see, No Pink, No Rolling Stones, No Fleetwood Mac or stone roses??? At gates, my perfume was not allowed n nowhere to leave it. So lost £60. There were no walkways so treading on people's belongings, i am disabled n use a scooter, it was not wheelchair friendly the bar was ridiculous prices. In my opinion Elton John was fantastic tho.

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Tribute Festival Newark
Really good event. Wasn't expecting it to be inside and so we didn't need to take all of the jackets and blankets that we took but overall it was a good experience. The music was good and the atmosphere was good too. Very expensive food and drink prices though.

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Tribute Festival Newark
Security staff over the top, more interested in searching bags for food and drink.
Absolutely ridiculous that you can not take snacks like crisps or a bottle of water.
The amount of security staff standing ng around made it feel quite intimidating especially as the majority of people were all middle aged or children.
Toilets appalling, they were dirty and supposedly cleaners were to go in to clean this did not happen.
Very disappointing that rhe event was indoors as this was billed as a festival.
Chatting to people who had been last year they all said this year's was very disappointing.
Prices over the top, chips £5!!!! Was told bottle of wine £25 but was charger £28!!!
Staff more bothered about checking bags for food than checking tickets for entry.Only 2 staff members checking tickets.
Entertainment good but atmosphere generally was awful, felt like we were penned in like sheep and not at a festival.

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Tribute Festival Newark
Didn't realise you had to pay for parking £10. Not allowed to take your own food or drink in. So that again was another cost. Not allowed out of the venue once you were inside, so couldn't go back to the car to eat our food. Long delays between acts. We left after Abba as it was an hours wait before Queen. Very disappointed.

Acoustics not the best indoors. Took food and drink off us didn't like that. Had to argue to keep my bottle. Good that water available . Also genres very mixed . Abba then queen . Would have preferred all rock or all pop bands

Review of Save The Rave: 90's Festival - Newark
Falsely advertised as an outdoor festival but instead we was in an indoor hanger, parking was not advertised as an additional £10 as it says 8000 complementary parking spaces on Newarks website so that was a rip off, VIP was a complete waste of money, not enough seeting and toilets, over priced raw burgers and warm bottled water, it got boring as there was nothing else to do so we left early

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Tribute Festival Newark
Poor. Bought tickets for this event which was billed as an outdoor festival at a showground. Acts were not outdoors but rather in a large metal hangar type building. The music could not be heard properly because it just bounced and echoed off the metal walls. This was billed on the tickets as an outdoor festival and it was therefore our expectation to be sitting outdoors on grass but there was only concrete floor avaliable either in or outdoors+ a few benches. The small plot allotted to the 'festival' was a fenced in, dismal area and certainly not conducive to the family atmosphere advertised. The food stalls were extortionate and as they opearated a no food/drink policy in the festival, people were at their mercy and a captive audience (not allowed out and back in again if you had brought a picnic and wanted to return to your car to eat it) and the couple of fairground type rides outside were blaring out their own music drowning any chance of hearing anything. Toilet facilities at the venue were dirty, at best, unhygienic at worst with shoes sticking to the floor inside from the outset - seemingly not cleaned from a previous gig there. Certainly won't be using this venue or booking system again. Complaint raised with the company already.

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Tribute Festival Newark
All in all a pretty rubbish event, sold as outdoor but music indoor and if you had VIP tickets which we did no seats inside so had to either stand listening to poor sound quality acts, or sit outside on tarmac. Nothing like a festival at all. Little or no atmosphere as everyone disappointed with it all.Felt sorry for the acts playing to a disheartened crowd Would not come again.
