Would like to know what happens now with the event being cancelled during the 2nd act because of a storm. Do we get a refund or will the event be rescheduled?

Extremely unhappy. The compare appeared on stage in the middle of the 2nd act to ask us all to leave - due to lightening and us all being allegedly at risk in a marquee. He claimed we would be allowed back in once the storm subsided - but we had to leave the castle grounds completely. It was obvious to everyone that the gig was cancelled. Which they then decided to admit to 5 mins later.
Overbearing security staff then stopped those leaving from using the portaloos on the way out for some odd reason, and started to get very aggressive towards anyone waiting for friends - even though they'd vacated the marquee.
We never got to see the two headline acts and will be chasing Skiddle for a refund. Absolute shambles.

Was brilliant until the thunder storm we were asked by the host to wait at the gate house as it would be safer and after approx 20 minutes a security colleague was walking around and said that's it, the show Is now cancelled and to make your way out. No apology and no explanation for refunds or rescheduling. Poor communication.

Cancelled! Had to evacuate the marquee half an hour into to show due to lightning and stand in pouring rain for 20mins for it be cancelled anyway.
Spent loads of money on food and drink, but barely any 'street food' choices. Expecting a refund!

1) The advertising had clearly stated that a VIP ticket included 'a front row deck chair'. The reality was we were guaranteed a deck chair in the first 7 rows, with seats at each end of the front row having a restricted view due to the angle & leafy plants at the front of the stage. Several other audience members were commenting that, like me, they'd paid for VIP expecting a front row seat. This was misleading advertising.
2) Due to a thunderstorm, the gig was cancelled after the two support acts, meaning we didn't get to see either of the billed famous names (Gary Delaney & Simon Brodkin). You would think safety measures for lightning would be in place (what do Glastonbury do?) as thunderstorms often happen in the summer. Yet people were asking about even partial refunds as a result of the cancellation, but no staff were willing to comment.
In sum, poor show, Skiddle

An interesting evening for many of the wrong reasons...

Firstly on the positive: booking process, app, prices, line up - all good.

Venue: never been to notts castle before, is basically a gatehouse, then a winding tarmac drive up to a grass knoll overlooking the city - different and could be nice. On arrival found that there was a good bar, toilet , food set up and the main marquee was secure and of decent size - all good. HOWEVER layout of seating was terrible, marquee is a long rectangle, had the stage been set up in the middle of a long side everyone would have had better views, instead the stage was set up at a short end so the back was mikes away. Add to that non-allocated seating, people coming in late and constantly walking in and out for loo/bar/food, and it was like being in a busy busy station. Also lots of odd seats left empty due to groups sitting together, then approx 20 people left stood at the back trying to decide if/where to sit, whilst the shoe was going on. Possibly due to the layout but the people towards the back was talking constantly, and at one point an argument even broke out when someone asked them to stop - all rather off putting when trying to watch the comedians.

Wrath of the elements: a lightning storm hit, obviously of anyone's control. The marquee was surprisingly weather proof but speakers weren't turned up so then it became even harder to hear the show over the rain, the arguing at the back, and people's phone alarms going off to then get up and go collect their pizzas ?-. Then the staff announced we needed to evacuate due to lightning risk - due to location and build structure of the marquee... So everyone had to trog down to the gatehouse in the pouring rain and wait to be let back up. To be fair the poor staff were also getting soaked, and people were getting frustrated because at this point the bar was closed too.....

We gave up after seeing 2 of the 4 acts and being evacuated, and went to the pub opposite. 20mins later the pub filled up when the rest of the gig cancelled.

I appreciate weather is out of the organisers control, however the set up, layout, and crowd control could also have been better. Waiting to see if we get any kind of refund/voucher towards a future event in separation - no emails as yet

Prices were great and a good venue. Sadly a Biblical Thunder storm came through half way through the show. Being in a metal framed marquee the show was cancelled.
Up until that point the show was fabulous. Yet to find out if we will get a new date for a rescheduled show or a refund.

We were there for an hour, the venue wasn’t fit for purpose due to a thunder storm, we were asked to leave and didn’t see the headliners. Very disappointing, would like a full refund.

Nina conti was amazing.. the venue was nice, wish we'd have taken more warm clothing, but a really enjoyable evening.
