Review of Detonate Halloween Nottingham
What an absolute shambles. Detonate has built such a following over the last few years with loyal customers. We paid over the odds, to only hope to make it through one of the hour long queues into the tents. Once inside the performers/acts were giving it there all in what was quite frankly a dangerously hot environment, with people getting trampled.
This entire event was a waste of time for all those that attended and the headline artists who were the only ones to apologise instantly.
When the boundary of one tent was compromised (Shock), Security at the event had the task of cancelling and getting everyone to leave. They thought the best way to do so was to suggest there had been a stabbing.
The event was OVERSOLD, the safety of every single customer was compromised, and detonate have lost the essence of what made it great.
Further yet, a week after the event, we have only received a statement worded by a very good lawyer accepting no actual responsibility. They have suggested we will be compensated, when all we want is a refund. I fail to think of another scenario where an immediate refund would not be provided if a show was cancelled due to a fault of the organiser, or any service that was cut short through no fault of the customer.

Review of Detonate Halloween Nottingham
Over crowded got pushed and shoved in tents. Queuing was a joke and it finished 3 hours earlier than scheduled so didn't get to see the acts I went there for. Apart from that I enjoyed the few hours I was there but should b refunded all or if not some of my £45 ticket money :(

Review of Detonate Halloween Nottingham
Closed early, vastly overcrowded, everything was expensive and a hassle to buy (due to no cash/card rules), 2 of the stages and 2/5th of the acts weren't there, 2hr queues to get into any of the tents. Was good early in the day but didn't get to see any of the acts because of early closure/cancellations

Review of Detonate Halloween Nottingham
What a shame! I don't know how organisers thought the small capacity of tents versus the amount of tickets sold would work out. We had all paid and were already inside the 'venue' - there shouldn't have been any line ups to see artists at all. Bigger venue next time? At least no tents. Looking forward to some form of compensation & what happens next year :)

the event was a total disappointment, it was oversold and so had to be shut down 3 hours early, meaning that we missed all of the big acts having only arrived at 5 which was the last entry. queueing for an hour to get into a tent was a management error that left thousands of people waiting outside of tents having paid £50 to be there.

Review of Detonate Halloween Nottingham
This was the worst, most shambolic event I have ever attended.
The venue was massively overcrowded, facilities were sub standard and there were not enough security on hand to deal with crowds.
Detonates official statement claimed the trouble was everyone tying to get into one tent at the same time.
This is quite simply a blatant lie. All three arenas were full to maximum capacity with crowds in the hundreds still congregating outside.
To make matters worse detonate have removed reviews from their Facebook site and are deleting lots of people's valid negative comments from that site also.
I have attended detonate events for a number of years and have always had a great time however this one was terrible.
Luckily it got called off when it did as people were being crushed into fences with many being left bleeding and physically injured.
There were many rumours aswell about police officers using tazers against the crowds in the confusion although I did not witness any of this personally.
Lost all confidence in this outfit and will seriously reconsider booking the summer festival which is a shame because the last one was awesome but don't want to book on principal!
In summary for my 50£ ticket and 40£ spent on drinks saw 2 1/2 sets none of which were headliners although all lol the acts and djs I saw were very good and the lineup was very very good but shutdown before any of the main headliners came on. You
