An absolutely fantastic night! The Golden Lion is the best pub in the country - friendly staff, great food, drink and atmosphere. Matt Hum and John Paynter both played excellent sets (as they always do) and Paranoid London were brilliant!

Wow! This hidden treasure in West Yorkshire is probably the best venue I have ever been to. A cool pub in a quaint countryside village, hosts every month, some of the best headline acts in the world. It’s a must for any gig goer 🎶🙏🏻❤️

Golden Lion is a nice place, plenty of beer choices and prices are pretty fair too.
The upstairs room is cosy and intimate. A great place for a decent pub gig. The sort of place Beans does so well, and he was great, his mate Tensheds was a great solo act and provide great accompaniment too.

Only two stars for the venue though.

Because it is a small intimate place became harder to hear the band over the over excitable kids in the back of the room who insisted on talking over the songs. A guy near me mentioned this to the door staff and the answer was to crank up the PA volume....The kids talked louder.

So, great night, not so good venue.

Cheered me up. Very good musicians and charismatic performances. Enjoyed the lead-ins to songs. I’m not a lover of crowds hence why I gave venue 3, but I know other people do like crowds
