The orb is awesome. The venue was too crowded and letting too many local drinkers in who didn’t like the orb and who were deliberately knocking into people who paid.

Distractions are a powerful and soulful band that can take you to another place. They were, as always completely tight, yet friendly and accessible. Support band Fads are a great, young three piece band that I will certainly be looking out for again.

William the Conquerer was excellent! Having a support band Later Youth was the icing on the cake of a really great evening out in Todmorden. If it had been a weekend I know many more people who would have been there. Later Youth what a pleasant surprise, looking at buying their music online.

Review of POST PUNK showcase

Very glad I jumped on the train from Mcr on spec. 5 bands on, 3 of which I really enjoyed. The others were OK, just not brilliant.

Quite a mixed bag of bands but a very good showcase and a bargain to see so much talent. The venue is incredible and a friendly hub of the local area selling great food and beer. Unfortunately the infrequent and unreliable bus and train service to get me there (and home!) is always a negative factor to consider.

It's an amazing club gig in a pub. There's no real dance floor and pillars that dominate the downstairs area. So I find that frustrating. Everything else is superb.

Wish they had a better venue for their impeccable bookings and excellent atmosphere.
