Review of THE PLAYHOUSE PROJECT MOTHER\'S DAY RAVE W/ DISCO MUMS & MC KWASI
Really not what I expected. £30 felt like a lot of money to get in to a pub on a Sunday afternoon, especially when other non- paying regulars also seemed to be there. It really didn't feel like a "disco" at all which is what I was expecting. There was no music to encourage children dancing. It basically felt like the very average side activities were in place to entertain children while adults had a beer and listened to some non- offensive background music. There was no dedicated space for dancing, very few fun props for children. A bubble machine that didn't work, no snow machine, no cake, no glow stick stall (all advertised) and the queue for face painting was ridiculous.
I can see what they were trying to achieve with hindsight, but I'm so disappointed I planned mothers day around it and got nothing like what I'd hoped for

Loved this event, hope there might be more! Such a hit with all my friends with young kids. Nothing like dancing your baby to sleep on an actual dancefloor with a pint!
