Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Cornwall!
Overpriced drinks - small bottle of 0.50p water was £3. Poor quality wine, and run out of red wine 2 hours into the event starting. Given the event was from 12.00 - 22.00 and you could not take any food or drinks, the majority of people had to purchase food at the event. 1) the quality was poor and pretty much all fried, even the burgers looked suspect. 2) My husband is gluten intolerant and there was not a single thing he could eat, yet you can't take your own food. I get no drinks, especially glass bottles, but it's a pretty poor show when you can't physically eat anything in 10 hours. We left at 20.00 as out group of 4 we're all starving, so missed what was probably the best two bands due to lack of appropriate facilities.

Should have been made clearer the rules on food and drink, lots of people were turning up with picnics for their kids. Food not too bad but drinks very expensive. £3 for a cup of lemonade. £6 for a tin of beer. You're having a laugh. We booked VIP and the view of the stage was very poor because of the metal fence running between us. Did you really need to charge so much for car parking when there are acres of land at royal Cornwall. We do not pay parking for RCS every year.
People say that events are dying out and now I can see why. Just greed from the organisers. In spite of all that we had a good time. Just a pity we all felt a bit ripped off.

Paid for VIP and only benefit was the toilets, as for being behind security fencing - what a joke!!! We abandoned that and sat and danced in the main area - VIP ticket = Rip Off
Music, venue and food good BUT better choice of local beers and ciders please.

I didn't actually go to this event. As even up until the day before there was no advertised line up of performers. I found any contact through social media for this event very poor. If this event was genuine better advertising and customer communication next time.

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Cornwall!
Claims to be a family friendly event but charges a fortune for food and drink, and doesn't allow own food/drunk to be taken in.
Choice of drinks very poor, some weird brand of IPA and Lager; £8 pint, £6 can, £4 half. Spirits around £6.50 a shot.
But fear not, you could buy a bottle of spirits from them for only a mere £150!!!!
Wtf..?!
Sound system was poor and at least 2 of the bands had technical issues that weren't dealt with.
Security and site staff were fun and friendly.
VIP loos were spot on - but Cornwall Showground is a good venue, anyway. Although weirdly, the VIP area was set to the side so the view wasn't great and was shielded by a fence that broke up the view!
IMHO, there are certainly better cover/tribute bands out there - especially the Queen cover act.
Holy moly, gotta be the worst I've heard - vocally, anyway.
Would I go again..? Hell no. Went with a group of friends and we had fun, because we were together and always have fun.
In short...
Pro's:
Venue, staff
Nice size festival, plenty of room and not too crowded
Con's:
Cost of goods
No c**ktails sold anywhere
Choice of bands
No sign of any water stations - which are legally required
Sound system

Disappointed to pay for VIP tickets but it felt like were caged in and not a great view or access to the stage. Also venue ran out of cider by 6:00. Really? Plus pointy - great quesadillas

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Cornwall!
After paying over £100 for an overnight park for two campers and tickets for the festival. On entry there was no one to direct the traffic and the staff that were on duty were all sat down in their phones not paying attention to anything. We arrived to find out we couldn't reenter the festival once we had gone in. The food was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The music was hit and miss. Once we returned to our van we had bedded down for the night only to be woken up by a very rude security guard at 10:45pm who was incorrectly saying we had to leave. He then went to every other van and woke everyone up!
On the whole the facilities are awesome but the company running the show needed more supervisors as the one on duty was run off his feet and looked tired and defeated.
I will be visiting the show ground again but not to attend this particular festival!!
Thank god for the loaded fries 🍟
