Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Cornwall!
Disappointed in Freddie Mercury's microphone. It was not working that well I kept on Friday night. I think he's overdoing it himself, kept on moving the microphone away from his mouth too soon. Therefore the sound was crap.

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Cornwall!
Had a great time but it would have helped to have had some more information about parking costs, not being allowed to bring in any food and only soft drinks in a sealed bottle. (The food options on site were fairly limited and very expensive). The actual tribute bands were top quality. The staff in the car park and on site were very polite, helpful and friendly.

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Cornwall!
We bought VIP tickets and there wasn't a lot of benefits. We had a better view sitting in the normal area. We did get access to normal loo blocks rather than portaloos.
On arrival we discovered we were not allowed to bring in our own food. Prior knowledge would have been good. This was a real downer for us as we were to be there for 10 hours.
Sound was pretty good although for too loud for Oasis cover band.
Lighting was awful. There was no lighting on the bands at all. It all pointed into the crowd. At night one couldn't see the performers.
Security and staff were great.

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Cornwall!
Sadly disappointing. We arrived to a £10 parking fee, to park in a field. !! Next VIP tickets was a joke and we had the worst view with a metal fence in front of us. No discount on drinks or food, oh but toilets in a brick building not a porta loo. Yippee.
I think the atmosphere was non existent, I really was waiting for it to warm up and we arrived at 4pm, so assumed it would be in full flow then. (Didn't arrive earlier as I had an appointment at 3pm and was told you couldn't come in and out. (Maybe a stamp on the hand would rectify this.)!!
Think more thought is needed. VIP area near the front, discount on parking, food etc and maybe someone to introduce the groups and a DJ to play between the lookalike groups.
You need someone incharge who is more passionate about music and less about the money£$£$.

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Cornwall!
Great music, but really disappointed as rip off on parking as showground is always free on all other events we paid premium on line parking only to get there and some people didn't even pay as they were just letting people drive in! For a family event unable to take any water in and not allowed to leave event to go back to car as not allowed back in!

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Cornwall!
After reading reviews of other events, I had very low expectations. The event was well organised, the music got bigger as the day went on with some classy acts by the late afternoon. The food and drink is overpriced, but it always is at these events. The bar was poor but the queues were small and they didn't run out

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Cornwall!
Bands were good, they left the best to last. Good time between the main events to get a drink and toilet
We'd paid for VIP thinking we'd get a good view. It was nice we had use of the proper toilets not portable loos
And staff onsite kept them clean and tidy
But the way the fence tapered it felt like a holding pen! So we had to go into the main area to get a decent view of the stage
No food or drink allowed, but had special dietary needs so we were allowed to take in water. Which was checked
There was a selection of food vendors, we didn't try it but seemed to have mixed reviews for our friends
Not too big and easy to navigate if anyone had mobility issues
Our biggest issue was the overnight parking
For the day it was £10, which seemed ok although not made clear when we booked
We asked 2 different members of the security, and the guy when we paid if we could park overnight. All said yes, just that the gate would be closed in the morning not locked to get out the next day
Just as we were about to go to sleep someone banged on the vehicle and said we couldn't stay
The vehicle could but we couldn't, what's the point in that!! He said it was £22 to stay overnight which we would have gladly paid had we known
We explained we'd both been drinking, nowhere to stay locally (it was expensive that was why we'd asked to stay there overnight) and we'd be happy the extra to stay
He was quite rude said not his problem, had no facilities to take payment, it was in the rules had we read them and we had to leave
Luckily I hadn't drunk as much as my partner but still felt unsafe to drive, he left us with no choice or options
It was late and a taxi would have cost over £100, another reason we wanted to stay
If this event is ever here again, I feel there should be an option to book overnight. Or at least make the prices clear and transparent, I'd booked through skiddle not direct with Royal Cornwall so was not familiar with their additional charges
