Review of The Forever House- A Ghost Story For Christmas
Samlesbury Hall is an amazing place!
Unfortunately, I have to say we were a bit disappointed with the event itself. A series of tableaux loosely joined together and often the background music overpowered the actor's words. Whilst yes, it was a Christmas Ghost Story, there was certainly no "tingle factor"
We will definitely come back to Samlesbury Hall for one of their paranormal themed events, but it won't be this one next year.

Review of The Forever House- A Ghost Story For Christmas
I expected chills and thrills, but these were sadly lacking. I have limited mobility so found the up and down stairs a bit of a challenge. At the end we weren't sure it was the end and we all just kind of wandered back to the car park which we thought was very poorly lit. Not what I expected and felt a little let down.

Review of Victorian Father Christmas At Samlesbury Hall
A very cynical money making scheme, a 2 minute meeting with Santa and a bored looking elf, gifts of 5 pence candy canes and shooed out the door. For only £25! Some folks need reminding about the meaning of Christmas, it's not all about ripping off families !

Review of Victorian Father Christmas At Samlesbury Hall
We enjoyed the experience as it was simple and without the chaos and add ons like everywhere else. The price was reasonable but thought the kids might have got som**hing more than a candy cane at the end.
Santa and the elf were excellent and made my daughter feel special. The building is spectacular. Thanks for the experience.

Review of Victorian Father Christmas At Samlesbury Hall
Disappointed to say the least. The room was dressed lovely but unfortunately the compliments end there. Running 30 minutes late, not ideal with a 3 year old. Row seating to sit down and wait, no activities or anything to keep them entertained whilst waiting. Children aren't really that interested in an old hall to kill the time. No music to create a festive atmosphere and the meet with Father Christmas lasted 3 minutes at best, ended with a miniature broken candy cane. Overpriced, wouldn't go again.

Review of Torchlight Tours at Samlesbury Hall
This was fantastic, such an amazing building with so much history. Amazing guide with so much knowledge of the Hall with ghost stories thrown in too! It was great seeing the Hall in the dark and we really loved the fact that we could wander round afterwards to take pictures! Highly recommended.
