Review of Heather Small Live in St Albans Cathedral
I was so looking forwards to seeing Heather Small in St Albans Abbey - I have always enjoyed her music so happy to pay £55 for each ticket and was expecting a great night of entertainment! However, we were told that there was no admission to the abbey after 7.30pm but there was a warm up act prior to Heather. This was quite restrictive but we got there at 7pm after rushing a pre meal in St Albans looking forward to a little boogie. The bar was busy but well staffed but were only selling small selection of drinks - Red Stipe warm cans of larger and only wine by the bottle, a couple of spirits and soft drinks! We found a great spot for our evening of entertainment. The 'warm up' guy came on stage and to be fair was a great singer but he only sang, as he kept saying, depressing tunes that brought the atmosphere to beyond glum! Anyway, shortly before phoning the Samaritan's, Heather Small came on stage at 9.10pm and livened the atmosphere up with all her upbeat tunes, belting out her greatest hits, while strutting her funky stuff. Sadly just as the clock struck 10 the fun literally ended - and the singer and her band left the stage... people hung around the abbey expecting just one more song but to no avail. The whole evening was a very big disappointment and completely over priced .... And don't get me started on the stinky porta loos that were set up outside - I'm not sure the over 50's crowd appreciated the festival vibe and why the audience were not allowed to use the Abbeys facilities! Sadly it's a no from me!

Sound was not balanced properly just all noise. Her voice was drowned out. However when you could hear her she can certainly still sing. Also only did an hour. Not great value.

Review of Heather Small Live in St Albans Cathedral
We had to be inside the venue by 7.30. Heather Small wasn't on until 9pm and she was late. It was too much standing around. Couldn't buy a glass of wine, only a bottle! The venue was too echoy, couldn't hear the vocals at the back or what she was saying. The first act didn't warm the crowd up, a good artist but would have liked some up beat music. Then a 45 minute break was too long and just so the bar made money. I personally wouldn't go again to a standing event unless you could arrive later.

Review of Heather Small Live in St Albans Cathedral
Great venue . However support act Jamie Grey was not very good. He spoke alot in between songs and wasn't clear to hear what he was saying. The long wait from him finishing and Heather starting was far too long. She was amazing and would have happily paid just to see her.

Review of Heather Small Live in St Albans Cathedral
I was really looking forward to this performance but the sound quality was really poor. You were unable to hear the vocals and the whole sound sounded muffled and blasting. The performance time was also really short. 50 mins performance was not a lot for the ticket price. Lovely venue but many more sound checks required if repeated.
