Great day out lots of fun could have been better food arrangements like food vendor vans rather than food in the club house it was chaotic so
Didn’t bother
But other than that a brilliant day out and very good organisation

Not enough pre event information on layout of event or timings . We were guided to the festival area and missed a lot of the bowling and other activities. Apparently there was restrictions on moving from one to another.
Not enough toilets
Drink prices too high and mainly cans eg. £5 for small tin of G n T , £25 bottle of wine.

Great event, would recommend and go again. Would have liked to have been allowed to take a chair as standing for long periods. Also would have liked a burger van etc outside. But apart from that great day, staff were very polite and friendly.

We paid £30 for of our children to go onto the bouncy castles. We only went on at 5 so the kids only had one turn. At around 6ish they deflated all the bouncy castles. We wasn’t told when we paid they would be going down in an hour we was told it was £30. My kids had one go then we left to get some food hoping to go back after they had eaten. Only to find them deflated. I had three very upset kids. Why wasn’t we told when we bought tickets they would be going down in an hour we would have only paid for one go. When we questioned the guy who owned the bouncy castles he was horrible and swore in front of the kids saying we were ‘chancers’ trying to get our money back ! Then he said to my brother in law ‘you have to walk home tonight’ threatening him. Absolute idiot who should be banned from events.

My only complaint is the fact the bar for the main arena was too far away, very busy and not suitable. Pop-up bars in the stage area were needed. There was one in VIP area but that’s all. Not ideal.

Frankly the whole experience was a joke.
We arrive and look around.... there was no signage telling people what was going in. We enter the music area to discover it was aweful. Awful mucic and aweful atmosphere. Awful stall.
We looked around for the classic cars, bouncy castles, starwars characters band and archery. When we asked about them, we where told oh, that's in the free bit. I looked around at the music area and thought "I've paid for a family ticket for that s*it show..". the staff on the gate clearly didn't want to let people out to go to the "free" area and where informed we could do it once.
Anyway we went to the free bit, and while most things where there, the classic car show (as advertised on the st Helens garla Facebook page, and the st Helens star) was nowhere to be seen. The stalls in this area where better, but not exactly great... Rock bingo for example. The classic car show was nowhere to be seen. We saw at least 1 stall holde packing up, and heard others complaining about the poor organisation.
2 of my party went for food at approximately 3 30 pm, and where told that they had ran out of food at about 3 30 pm... What poor planning was that!!!!
The brass band was nice, but everything else about both the "free" and "paid for" event was awful.
I'd like this message passing to Johnny Vegas, as somebody clearly let him down yesterday.
Feeling: Conned
Reason: apart from a small note on the top of celebrity bowles (I've had to go back and find it) it was not clear at all that two events where happening. One paid for and one "free" I would not have entered the music area if I had of known, and I'd likely still have left disappointed at wasting time at the free area.
