Review of Oktoberfest at Walton Hall & Gardens - Friday
Music was a good mix of live, DJ, and different styles and ages, some classics, great for a dance and a sing along.
Drinks were on the expensive side, but not much more than you would expect for this sort of event - soft drinks could have been cheaper, for those who are driving etc.
Food was nice, traditional options available and fairly priced for the event, however, the queue for the food was FAR too long - there was a lot of the evening wasted by queueing for food. At these events, food should be ready to go and service should be much quicker. Maybe more than one food vender and a little healthy competition would help this along?
Toilets were clean and well stocked, there wasn't even much of a queue, which was great - but by the end of the night, the water had been turned off/disconnected, so you couldn't wash your hands. No hand gel was provided, either. Disappointing.
There should have been an option to purchase a stein as a souvenir of the night, rather than a deposit system which was then enforced quite rudely, by some staff, at the end of the night.
We enjoyed the night and would come again - just a few things to improve to make it even better!

Review of Oktoberfest at Walton Hall & Gardens - SATURDAY
At times it was hard to have conversations as the DJ music was much too loud. Afterall people go to socialise and spend time with friends. Otherwise it was a great event.

Review of Oktoberfest at Walton Hall & Gardens - SATURDAY
Our first Oktoberfest event was a little underwhelming. The venue and layout was great as were the staff. There was only two choices of German beer!! With such a rich history of brew mastery to delve into, it would have been nice to have a much wider range to choose from, this is a drinking event after all...!
The 'Oompah Band' was basically just doing your average pub band cover songs, they were okay but way off what I was expecting.
This could have been so much better and was a missed opportunity.

Review of Oktoberfest at Walton Hall & Gardens - SATURDAY
First time they’ve ran it. I’ve been to a few of these over the years. Each to their own but I do love the party atmosphere with bits of German umpa music in between. It’s not rammed down your throat and you can enjoy it. Bad bits, what’s with high prices? £6 a pint, £5 for a warm pretzel, and £7 bratwurst. They’re Manchester/ London/ big city prices. It’s out of town Warrington. £5 max on everything and everyone’s still making money.

Review of Oktoberfest at Walton Hall & Gardens - SATURDAY
So disappointing we couldn’t believe there was one small tent, one food trailer and 8 toilets. No outside seating available despite the fantastic weather and the band took ages to arrive and then you couldn’t hear it because the acoustics were so awful . The prices and variety of drinks was extremely disappointing absolute rip off for £16
