Great event just a bit pricey

£17 entry and you get nothing. Beer £6/ pint. A Q for an hour for food due to there being just 1 very slow food stall that also had no food ready for first 20 mins. 500+ people all drinking and 4 urinals for men to pee. Music played at 95 decibels ( my watch warned me multiple times) making it impossible to have a conversation. Poorly organised, ill thought out event. Don’t waste you time money of effort this was very poor and very expensive

Venue is great and the organisers could have delivered an atmospheric and authentic event. Music - awful. Tinny , loud DJ and group dressed in authentic dress singing pop songs . Nothing Oktoberfest about this at all apart from beer and food. Beer good and so was the food - all burgers cooked to order and great selection of condiments for the bratwurst.

Really enjoyed this event. D.J was very good but disappointed in the Oompah band which was more of a Jazz/ Swing band. At times they seemed out of tune and felt that the lady singing was drowned out by the music. Only played 1 oompah tune all evening. Been to this type of event previously at another location and they had audience participation which really made it a fantastic night,unfortunately there was not much of this at this event. Queues for food took a long time and the courtyard that we were queuing in was muddy. Later on in the evening the portable toilets had no running water to wash your hands. Beer prices were standard for this type of event but a bottle of white Bulgarian wine was £24 !!! On the plus side the food was very good and the atmosphere created by people attending the event was fantastic.

The event could’ve been fantastic but despite being sold out it was only half full so lacked atmosphere. The food was a shambles - it was delicious but we queued for 40 minutes and missed the whole first set of the band. Only 4 people working on it and not a very effective system going on. The queue was consistently this long for the first couple of hours. On contrast there were tonnes of bar staff and no queues at all there.

Went to Oktoberfest at Walton Hall last night and it was awful. Firstly, this is a beer festival and it had two beers! I don’t know how that can be a thing. Do you want cheap tasing larger number one or cheap tasting larger number two at £6 per pint? The choices for food were basically a hotdog or a burger, that was it. Both terrible quality, both massively overpriced. The hall itself is nice and could make for a decent venue, but the DJ was playing music like he was at a 90s family party at full deafening blast. You couldn’t have a conversation, you literally had to scream at each other. Why it was so loud I have not idea, but any sense of atmosphere was sucked out of the place by the DJ giving everyone tinnitus. The whole thing was underwhelming, boring and shockingly expensive. I won’t be going ever again and suggest you avoid it too. If I could get a refund, I’d have got one

The team had a great night of singing and dancing, good mix of music from the DJ, band quite good but sound seemed muffled sometimes,
there was a queue for food but was really quite good when you got served (think we went when everyone else did as queue was alot less a short time later), great bar staff and all venue staff fiendly including security, great venue/setting & decoration. Would return if event held here again

Not a very German October fest, the music was far to loud, you could not really talk to anyone other than the person next to you, the oompah band did 1 oompah tune then sung great German classics like mustang Sally by Wilson von picket, I'm not sure what type of people they were expecting but patting down at the door was a bit much, the beer was extortionate at £12 a stien i don't even pay £6 a pint in Manchester City centre, toilet placement was not great as right next to the food que and my Mrs said you could see right into the ladies and you could see the back of men at the urinals from the que also, the que for the food was massive and the lady serving actually said they had no idea the amount of people attending, this is a presale ticketed event so maybe give the vendors the heads up, we had a party of 12 and 4 of us left at about 8.30/9 and went to the pub instead.
I also thought it a bit strange to say come at 6pm as your sitting starts then when we could have rocked up at any time, people in our group rushed from work
On a whole it was pretty rubbish so I will be very vocally letting people know to avoid at all costs, if you got one thing wrong it may have been ok but as you see there is a full list.
