This event sucked! Left 1.5 hrs after event started! Didn’t get one drink! Venue was rubbish, no organisation, no refund! Traveled to meet up with friends for this event, booked a hotel, really disappointing! Don’t go!

Much the same as many of the other reviews here: I was really looking forward to this event but unfortunately it was a disaster.
The event opened 15 minutes late and when you got in you were told to order from an app rather than at the bar. There was no signal and the Wifi didn't really work. Therefore it was nearly impossible to submit an order. Eventually we got an order submitted but an hour passed and no beer arrived. It then turned out that the app wasn't working and we had to order at the bar. There was no German beer available and the pints available were very pricey. After one pint we decided to cut our losses and go somewhere else.
The band did as well as they could to create some atmosphere (though the music wasn't exactly German themed). The speakers were also at full volume so it was nearly impossible to hear anyone speak.
I felt very bad for the staff at the OGV Taproom; there was hardly any staff in the venue and they had to deal with all the orders and complaints at the same time. The issue here was not them but the organisation of the event. There should have been a contingency plan for the app not working and enough staff brought in to support the event. If that had been done, the event might have been alright.

My friend was visiting Aberdeen so was really chuffed this event landed on same weekend. Actually embarrassed I took her to this event.
Guy on door (from Liverpool) said ticket price was only for entry into venue and to cover bar staff and entertainment costs. LOL. As soon as we got in, I could hear people complaining and it was easy to see why. Absolute shambles. I am not happy either with the claim of nothing being included in price as I have since seen an advertisement for this event again and it states on there each ticket price includes one free stein. Money back please.

Bier fest without bier. 11 pound for a stein of Heineken if you could order. Issues with table numbers not being in app and unable to order at bar. Left after 1.5 hours without even getting the pleasure of enjoying a beer. Have emailed organisers for refund.

Very Very disappointed. Table service through an app/QR code didn’t work, Wi-Fi crashed, band tried their best but nobody had a drink after an hour, we had to leave and make our own entertainment for rest of the day. 7 tickets wasted. Think organisers should give everyone a refund. Not happy at all.

No german beer served at the bar for Oktoberfest, only offered Heiniken Silver, Birra Morreti and 2 ciders, and both bars ran out of draught beer so could only get cider served in the plastic steins.
Toilets had a sign saying "out of order" but were told to use them anyway. Toilets, urinals and sinks all overflowing.
Wouldnt go to this event again.

To start we had to wait 20 minutes after the event was supposed to start. Then we were told we had to order drink from an app, but there was no signal in the building. After going outside to get a signal, the app did not have our table number and qhen we told staff they said they were updating the app and we had to wait but we couldn't order drinks at the bar. Eventually we got an order in but the qifi went down and they couldn't see any orders. it was an absolute shambles. A beer festival where you can't order a drink.

This event is one of the worst I've attended. The room had a poor 4G signal and patchy WiFi, which made it practically impossible to order a drink. After 30 minutes, I was able to place my order. 45 minutes later it hadn't arrived. The ordering system had cancelled it. I queued up for another 15 minutes at a bar that didn't have the German beer I ordered. I got a Moretti instead. Drinking an Italian beer at Oktoberfest isn't what I expected. By that point, however, I wasn't surprised.
The band were good musicians but they were playing jazz music that had nothing to do with German culture. Unless 'When the Saints Go Marching In', 'I Wanna Be like You' and 'Rock Around the Clock' were written in Germany. This lack of authenticity summed up an event that was an Oktoberfest in name only.
For £14, I presumed I'd get a drink or some food included in the price. That wasn't the case. The organisers charged people £14 to enter a room with a terrible order system, not enough staff and an atmosphere as flat as the pint I waited 90 minutes for.

Disgusted with the venue, wifi went down so couldn't order drinks but there was no back up plan for this situation.
Very long delay on wifi working again. Eventually got drinks after queuing for 25 mins and paying cash!
We left early (as did the majority of the customers) as it was a shambols.

My first time ever at Oktoberfest and I have to say I really enjoyed it and I will definitely go back to it again whether in Aberdeen or in Munich, Germany. I would highly recommend it to anybody to go to.
