Review of Retro In The Park 2022
Prices of soft drinks were a joke, £3.50 for a small plastic glass of c**e poured from a 2 litre bottle. Queues for the bar were also ridiculous.
The sound of one stage drowned out the sound at the other.

Review of Retro In The Park 2022
Went to Retro in the Park 2021 and had the best day so was excited for 2022 and bought the early bird tickets as soon as released in September last year.
This year was a shambles and utterly disappointing and therefore won’t be going next year.
Queued an hour to get in the venue then went straight to the bar and queued another hour to buy a drink. Asked for a bottle of wine to save me having to queue again later however they had run out already only a couple of hours into opening. I also asked for some Jäegerbombs and they had none of those left either.
Still water was sold in small cans for £3 and there were no water refill stations as advertised, shocking.
No music tent like last year, luckily the weather didn’t take a turn for the worse otherwise there was no shelter.
Stages were too close together therefore I could hear the music from the main stage whilst at the retro tent.
Toilets all on one side of the field and again more queues, whereas last year, toilets were on both sides of the field and less queues.
Music no where near as good as last year, hacienda classical should not have been the closing set as their music was a bit drab…it should have been someone like Paul Taylor to keep everyone upbeat and dancing till 11pm as we left an hour early due to this.
Not sure how it could have gone so wrong this year but based on that, I won’t be returning.

Review of Retro In The Park 2022
The music was good but a bit boring at times. You could sometimes hear the music from both stages at the same time. The facilities were inadequate - people were queuing nearly an hour to get a drink - that after queuing 30 minutes to get into the arena!! There was no drinking water available which us a must on a warm day when people are on their feet dancing for so many hours. This needs sorting as does the queuing for food and drink situation. By the way- the cost of the food and drinks was ridiculous. The event was only such a success because the sun came out and due to the wonderful atmosphere through meeting up with friends.

Review of Retro In The Park 2022
Very over priced drinks for Burnley £6 for a can is a little ridiculous, and bar staffing was not on point as it was taking over 1hr to get a drink, some I heard waited 2hrs!! Very badly organized in that respect. Overall, music and atmosphere was amazing.

Review of Retro In The Park 2022
After attending in 2021 and having the best time, this year was extremely poor. I think townley is a great spot for retro, however, the queuing was horrendous to say the least, from a 45 min wait to get in, then another 50 mins - 1 hr queuing to get a ridulously priced drink, and more queuing for the despicable toilets.. Not to mention what was found in them... No tents this year, only 2 stages.... Music wasn't as good as last year, overall no great vibes going on.

Review of Retro In The Park 2022
We went last year and there were 2 more tents, they should come back for the wkder. The sound was louder last year too ? Queues for the bars were long but we learnt from last year and took a cooler bag so brought 6 drinks at a timeo ? toilets were manned very well. Next year they should have defo more food outlets not that I used then. Plus mini bars dotted round the edge, maybe that would help with the queues, cider, beer , ales, gin etc. make it super special.

When we got there the que was so big it was spreading across the public paths of towneley park. So we decided to skip it and go home. No free tickets are worth standing in the entry queue for hours
