Review of 8.45 pm - Carlisle City Of Lights: Hadrian’s Wall 1900
The cathedral amazing display was disappointing. Unless you were an expert on dates much was meaningless. Not suitable for children. It could have been done with much more regard for the target audience. The castle display was a bit better but again more explanation was needed. The music there could have been more appropriate for the scene. e.g. Scottish music for the relevant section,
Much hard work had clearly gone into both displays but the results fell below par because too much energy had been spent on being technically inventive with 9out enough regard to the overall effects.

Review of 7.45pm - Carlisle City Of Lights: Hadrian’s Wall 1900
Didn't know what to expect really but the idea behind the event was great. I think it could use a bit more information about it beforehand. The weather wasn't too good for an outside event so maybe the next year's event should aim for the summer months. There might be some more sitting spots to watch the light show and some coffee stalls . It has the potential to be very enjoyable evening spend with family in the future.

Review of 6.45pm - Carlisle City Of Lights: Hadrian’s Wall 1900
This is the third year that we have attended this event.
The visuals are very impressive and work well on the buildings which they use and it is great to see our heritage quarter lit up like this and our 5 year old son loved it too.
Our only (minor) criticism is that the first year we were spoiled by having a beautiful display inside of the cathedral and the subsequent years have not managed to live up to this (we appreciate that this is also partly down to the pandemic and restrictions to indoor events). We will however keep attending especially as the price is so reasonable.

We booked last minute and enjoyed the light show very much. It was very interesting and a great atmosphere. I would go again but am working over the weekend

Review of 7.00pm - Carlisle City Of Lights: Hadrian’s Wall 1900
Not as good as last year. Didnât seem to be much of a flow or theme to the lights, a story, some music or subtitles might have helped set the scene. Donât think Iâll be back next year

Review of 6.45pm - Carlisle City Of Lights: Hadrian’s Wall 1900
I was very impressed with the effort everyone put in to make it a very enjoyable event, not just at the main venues but en route as well.
One very minor point. A leaflet with bullet points of what each section represented would have added to the enjoyment.
Overall it was an excellent event.
Well done EVERYONE!

Review of 7.00pm - Carlisle City Of Lights: Hadrian’s Wall 1900
On the whole it was good, and well organized, perhaps £5 would have been a more realistic price point, however I think that some narrative alongside the music would have enhanced the experience, just a little more information of what you were watching, my knowledge of Carlisle's past history is limited. I am also not sure of the point of using the museum/garden, apart from pretty lights it was just a way to get from a to c. However we did enjoy the event and would give it 7/10.
