Review of Kendal Calling 2018
Brilliant festival despite the bad weather. Line up was fantastic. The libertines secret set & headliner set were the highlight but also loved watching the other bands (Peter Hook, OCS, The Wailers)
Security staff were great. Relaxed atmosphere, family friendly. Loved it.

Review of Kendal Calling 2018
Really enjoyed our time at Kendal Calling this year. Personally, I did not think the bands were as good as last year however they were still enjoyable.
The only down side was Deer Lodge - this is where you stay in a separate area with Tipi's/Bell Tents/Pod Pads etc. (Don't need to bring your own tent). They have placed Deer Lodge and a new area called Great Plains together, we paid £400 for a 2 person Bell Tent in Deer Lodge yet someone in the same area paid around £50 to bring their own tent to Great Plains. The people in Great Plains had access to all of the Deer Lodge facilities. Last year it was just Deer Lodge so the extra cost seemed appropriate to what we received (own food truck/nice showers & toilets etc). It was not the case this year.
The Deer Lodge area had also moved to a different place, this resulted in a much longer walk to the arena, it took us around 10/15 minutes to get from our tent to the security gate at the arena - last year it took less than 5 minutes. Our experience of Deer Lodge this year, its just not worth the extra money any more as you no longer have the 'VIP experience' as such.

Review of Kendal Calling 2018
Absolutely great for all the family. My 4 and 5year old love it we have attended 4years now and will be back 2019.
My only gripe was fairground rides were quite expensive and so was meals for the children. But other than this nothing to complain about.
