Not as big an event as we expected. Disappointed in small number of stalls. Expected to see more crafts and variety. We had expected to be having a full family day out but only warranted 1hour at most.... and that was eating lunch from the venues cafe

Very disappointing and a good job it was free.
If I'd had to pay I'd have been asking for a refund.

Really not a lot going on at this event. Had travelled with friends and there was very little there. Promised artisan food and vintage crafts. There was one food stall selling bacon butties and less than 10 stalls half of which were selling drinks. Not good when you have travelled to attend.

Think it was a bit of an over sell. Only a few craft tents. We went round it all in 5 mins! Took us longer to get to venue. Once we went round if we wanted to go into Lowther Castle and/or gardens an extra £9 each! Maybe this was a ploy to get more visitors in as we noticed most folk like us went round the stalls and stood there wondering what to do next. Just a thought if you are going to promote a disappointing event like this, at least give us visitors a discount to the other events going on (in this case the Castle & Gardens). Just one more thing what was the point of issuing tickets? There was nobody about to check them and most people just walked straight in. Thank You.

Free ticket was for something that was free anyway? We loved the gardens and lunch. We weren't that interested in the crafts.

Damp squib! Very disappointed 😞 Only a few traders. Complete waste of time. Gives these events a bad name. Also no signage to the event so had trouble finding it. Would not recommend on this experience.

Amazing venue, we spent about 6 hours here. The vintage fair had great items, live music was fantastic and the grounds and castle are amazing both adults and children thoroughly enjoyed the day. Would highly recommend:-)

The marketing made this event look much bigger than it actually was....we were a bit disappointed that there weren't more stalls and it wasn't a bigger event over all. It was quite quiet. The venue was amazing though and the stalls that were there were fab, great selection of food and drinks and the music was great too.

Best family festival ever. The adults and the kids all have a great time together dancing walking through the Woodlands etc with animated creatures at night lit up. Kids Calling has Arts/crafts etc a baby toddler area a music area where kuds can learn how to use everyday items for making music. Theres a fair a cinema shops caspoint bars food stalls etc The camping area is comfortable the toilets regularly cleaned. One negative which cant be helped is the ling trek to the campsite from cars with all your gear - its arduous! And a bit if a trek from tents to arenas. This trek can be very muddy in wet weather. More could be done with regard to covering these areas with bark etc this was lacking this year. Some muddy areas were so difficult to walk through wellies were coming off. Its dangerously slippy too. On exit cars were getting stuck in mud. The muddy areas should be dealt with especially as its a family festival and prams and trollies are required for young children. I was shicked when Lethal Bizzel told the crowd to middle finger up and shout F**k you since my 3 year old grandaughter was with me. 🤔

It's an amazing festival and this was my 4th year on the run. I was a little disappoint at the drink prices I went to one bar and it was £7 for one, I also thought the garden of Eden wasn't as funky as it has been as other years, I also think when it's really muddy which it was this year you should put wood chippings down it really does help with the mud. A little disappointed how small the WKD stage was, really big acts (Sonny Fodera & Solardo) but tiny stage

Unfortunately I felt we did not get the best out of our "luxury pass" at KC - having to walk through mud after you've showered to get your welly boots back on doesn't exactly say luxury!!

However flushing toilets and pamper stations were fine, muddy which was to be expected, just not enough for the volume of people!! (Same as showers really!!)

Very overpriced in my opinion!! I would stick to baby wipe washes in future!!

Had the best time, showers were so much better than I expected and was definatly needed! Nothing better than being able to get a warm shower and then enjoy the rest of the day feeling clean(ish) even with the mud!

As much as I love Kendal Calling the amount of people trampling through the mud this year was unbelievable . Families stranded because of being unable to pull trollies back to their cars, young people soaked all weekend as under prepared for such bad weather. There should be more contingency planning for such poor weather to enable festival goers to enjoy the festival and not be worried all Weekend about their safety and well being .

Had the best time at Kendal, staff were super friendly and happy to help. Shout out to the steward who helped my friend at half 4
In the morning when her wristband became too tight and had to be removed. Could do with a better way of letting people know when the acts on the stages are on, they had sheets up in the tents but nothing for the main stage which meant you were guessing a lot of the time or missing acts- or you had to buy the £10 planner after paying a lot of money for your ticket in the first place. Overall a great festival and I will be back

I love Kendal Calling, this year was my fourth year but I have to agree with some of the reviews I've read that this year was a younger rowdier crowd and a different atmosphere from previous years. It hasn't put me off I will be back next year but it would be better if it went back to the way it was, it would be a shame if it turned into a parklife especially as there are so many kids there.
