Review of Oktoberfest - Leamington Spa 2024 [LAST 25 TICKETS]
Good and bad... the advert suggested a reserved table for 8 with table service. That wasn't available for anyone... not a big deal though as bar queue wasn't ever very long, and buying 2 pints per round (stein's).
Too much DJ and techno to start the evening. The band act were fun - would be more professional if the band leader knew the words to the very popular songs - but everyone was pretty drunk by then to care.
Games were good fun.
Great atmosphere thanks to the local crowd getting well into the idea of Oktoberfest, fancy dress, happy and up for a laugh.
A very fun evening.

No atmosphere, prices way above average, left after an hour. At a cost of £39 for 2 tick*ts, what exactly did we get for this, apart from entry to the Assembly Rooms? Terrible.

This was a very cheesy event, felt a lot like Butlins. I've been to Oktoberfest events before where the oompah band has been amazing and played modern songs with an oompah twist, this was terrible in comparison, it was one step away from playing the birdie song. The bar didn't sell beer by the pint or wine by the glass either, I wouldn't recommend.

Hardly Nothing to do with Oktoberfest! The lead person didn't even know the words to any songs - very poorly organised, beer completely overpriced - £58 for 3 steins and 2 small half ciders. Waste of money- DO NOT GO NEXT YEAR

Whilst it would have been nice to arrive to some more traditional music, the DJ was great and the Oktoberfest show was amazing - really, really good - the host made it very memorable.
Will be back next year, definitely!

I can't deny that it was a very enjoyable night however you don't get what you pay for as described in the advert for the event. No reserved table for groups, No table service, no German food. Even though these things were clearly advertised as part and parcel of the booking. Not sure who is at fault for these but it needs looking at for the next event

Paid for a group tick*t, £86 - which included a reserved table and table service. Arrived at the venue to learn we wouldn't have either of these things. One member of staffs response was they did not know how many people would come to reserve - unsure how this can be true when all of the tick*ts were sold out weeks before the event took place.
Security was poor. Non of the security staff seemed to care that they were there for our safety. One person fell down the stairs to which one member of security staff did nothing about and just watched for what felt like a good 10-15 minutes. They were bleeding.
The Assembly itself is of a poor standard. Toilets were disgusting. Smelled of urine and urine and tissue all over the floor, nobody there to keep them clean. When one toilet flushed the water was leaking across into the cubicle I was in.
The DJ playing chart music at the beginning and towards the end of the night was probably the best thing about the event. Nothing authentically German about the Oompah band and again just seemed a really sloppy performance. Felt just like a 'sit-down' nightclub.
"Traditional German food". You can probably guess. Nothing German about a Lidl own-branded hot dog from a jar in a bun. Was expecting Currywurst or som**hing along those lines.
Very disappointing event, and won't be returning. Do not recommend. Do not waste your money going here.

Wasn't expecting Munich, but was also not expecting a dark night club with club music so loud you couldn't even talk. Could have just been what was happening around 1pm when we got there and maybe things got better for the evening slot. But I've been to a few international Oktoberfests and this was the least like the rest. I'm sure it was great for others, but all the adverts made it seem like it was going to be more of a tent in the park, food and beer, more people dressed up.

It was no whereâve as good as the last time I attended but was still good until someone had hurt themselves .. I understand this need to be dealt with but I was spoken to very aggressively by one member of staff saying to go over to another exit .. of which when there was told to go back to where I had been sent from ⦠to which original staff who was rude has swore at me and told me to f**king go back to which he was advised we was being sent back ⦠and his answer was I do t f**king care you are going back that way
It was totally in chaos so if there had been a genuine evacuation it would have been mayhem â¦. O am a professional worker and have never seen chaos like this before.
If I am to assembly again I would hope force little more professional and organised evacuation methods with the staff acting accordingly
This jag but a true mains over a huge drop makingbitvimpossoble .

Having been to Oktoberfests in Germany, Leamington was not an Oktoberfest, the only food available expensive low quality hotdogs. Club music being played, no Oompah band. Left after half an hour.
