Review of Sunday - Ice Skating at Matlock Christmas Market
Not sure where to begin! It was so bad it will be remembered for many years to come!! A huge disappointment and false advertising. Such a waste of money and time. Would not recommend ?•

Review of Saturday - Ice Skating at Matlock Christmas Market
It was lovely where it was but it wasn't ice just plastic boards which some were coming up in places which could of been fatal if you got your skate caught in it , the way it was advertised made it out to be really magical like in the movies which it was not

Review of Sunday - Ice Skating at Matlock Christmas Market
This was so bad my family wouldn't even do it. We waited 2 weeks and my girls were so excited to go "ice" skating but all they got were some awful plastic white square that were as big as my living room! This was false advertising, it was an embarrassment. I paid good money to skate on ice not plastic! I want my money back. Who ever organised this should be held accountable for taking people's money under false advertising! We took one look at it and walked away! Shocking event!

Review of Sunday - Ice Skating at Matlock Christmas Market
This was not big enough to even skate on, it was that busy, I had tickets and was waiting in a queue for 20 mins then left, no atmosphere, tiny and not christmassy at all. Wasted money on 3 tickets!

Review of Sunday - Ice Skating at Matlock Christmas Market
Extremely disappointing. Organisers missed an opportunity to make this a wonderful Christmas experience. The rink was tiny and only suitable for young children. The surface was far too slippery and looked unsafe as observing others no one was able to skate on it properly and were struggling even to stand up. It just looked like a dirty playground surface, not fit for purpose. Although we prepaid, upon seeing it and watching others, we and our children agreed not to have a go for the reasons mentioned above (we'd rather lose our money, than participate). It could of been made to look like a winter wonderland, with lights etc. Instead, it looked scruffy, unappealing, unsafe, and a complete waste of money.

Review of Sunday - Ice Skating at Matlock Christmas Market
Horrendous.
Me and my family were looking forward to it for weeks but we did not even get on this pretended to be ice, dirty, smalls pice of plastic. There was no grip as plastic is to hard and it was covered in mud. We all are advanced skaters by the way so we probably would have a try but all skates were dirty, wet and very dated( disgusting 🤢) Absolutely outrageous. We will be demanding refund.
Anyone thinking of going please don't bother for your health sake.
We sow a person taken by ambulance out of there!

Review of Sunday - Ice Skating at Matlock Christmas Market
This was not ice skating! It was basically slippy plastic that you could not get any purchase on to skate. I felt it was dangerous as no one could stand up and skates were flying into the air in a very cramped area and parents were having to walk around basically holding children up which meant that the adult tickets were a complete waste of time as you needed regular shoes on to support the children properly. I will not be booking again which is a shame as the rest of the market and rides were good and the kids enjoyed them.

Review of Sunday - Ice Skating at Matlock Christmas Market
I wasn't on it long. I can ice skate but there wasn't a chance I could ice skate on this. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I was on it 10 mins and decided to get off my son wasn't long after. I couldn't see anyone that was able to skate on it.

Review of Sunday - Ice Skating at Matlock Christmas Market
The ice rink was not really an ice rink- more a small patch of ice the size of a small room enclosed in a little pen. We didn't go on. It was a shame. The price was so expensive for a little puddle of ice. I pay the same price at ice Sheffield and it's a full sized rink.

Review of Sunday - Ice Skating at Matlock Christmas Market
The market had lots going on, but the rides and fair stalls were really overpriced and in this current climate I thought more thought would have into this.
The skate rink was a little underwhelming and very small so although the kids (3) had a great time if the four adults had gone on the ice as well there would have been no room to skate. Could do with advertising the size of the rink to help manage expectations.

Review of Sunday - Ice Skating at Matlock Christmas Market
Really tiny ice skating rink. Not real I've just white plastic. Not able to get any traction whilst skating. I did not seen one person being able to actually skate properly. Even if you could stay on your feet there was no ice for traction. Even the support things for kids did not slide along on the plastic so totally useless! Do not recommend this at all! A real disappointment!!
