Review of Monument Festival
Everything about the event was a shambles, from lack of toilets to an awful sound system and the entire place being caked in mud. Made even worse by over priced drinks and food. The main act never came on due to safety concerns with the stage and the bands that did come out were spoiled by poor timings and power cuts.

Review of Monument Festival
If previous weekend was so rainy why was so little provision made to deal with all the remaining mud by the music tents and the toilets. It was a quagmire and dangerous to be honest. I did see at least one person go flying and land on their back completely covered in mud. Their friends struggled to get them upright and their day was ruined. The weather is out of your control but the planning for it is not. Why no straw/duckboards?

Review of Monument Festival
It was a really nice friendly festival. There were top quality acts throughout (it wasn't the organisers fault that The Kooks pulled out at the last minute) It was very muddy but that's just the weather as it's been lately. My car got stuck in the mud on the campsite and the really nice stewards and another camper helped me get out of it. I particularly liked a steward called Liam who was a lovely person and let me park next to my tent after the mud incident. He's a credit to his employer. Some of the toilets were particularly pungent. But that's festival toilets sometimes. The bars sold excellent quality drinks at a fairly reasonable price by festival standards (Neck Oil IPA and the best Guinness I've had outside of Ireland) I really enjoyed myself and will take happy memories of my visit to the festival

Review of Herrington Country Park
We were in VIP area , what VIP area! I have accessibility issues which is why we fork out the extra, having been to many festivals I can honestly say this was the worst. In the VIP you were not able see or hear the bands, the toilets were filthy, no running water, the food was sub standard too! There was no one to welcome you to tell where the facilities were etc. What did I pay the extra for, a seat to look at enclosed tents!!! I was unable to get in the other stage due to the quagmire at the entrance, why was there no straw etc to help sort out this mess? The main stage entrance was tricky too and the sound quality was terrible I felt sorry for the performers! I don't the blame Kooks for pulling of this pooh show! The organisers need to stop with the mantra "we are a small independent festival" woo is me attitude, they run many festivals under different guises they should by now have a strategy for coping with our unpredictable weather! Stop using that lame excuse! Why not have the tent sides open! Just awful being enclosed and I dread to think what would have happened if a swift evacuation was required how this got passed by the health & Safety peeps is a mystery to me!

Review of Monument Festival
Overall an enjoyable day. Saw good acts, nice vibe, decent food and drink selection (prices high as you'd expect). But... headliners pulled out on the day, 1 band commented they'd never been to a festival where it was muddier in the tent than outside, big queues for toilets all day, sound quality at main stage was poor, most of the time you couldn't tell what the acts were saying - second stage was a little better but not great. Good day out, not really worth the money in my opinion.

Review of Monument Festival
The facilities were shocking, insufficient toilets, no signs for taxi rank, pick up and drop off (closed by security!), no metal walkways in swampy areas, roadways and car parks not lit, access to tent for disabled / wheelchair users breached the Equalities Act 2010 as the access was swamp and not metal sheet for access!! Really poor planning and management of the event!!!

Review of Monument Festival
My friend went back to camper to change her shoes due to the bad mud and when she returned at 8pm she was refused entry as they shut the entrance so I had to leave and never saw any of the bands we wanted to we drove several hours to attend and there was 5 of us and it was a wasted journey completely disappointed never been to a festival camping where that has ever been the rules 😡 we will not recommend and we will never be back utter nonsense !
