Review of Glasgow Winterfest - ICE SKATING (Weekend Tickets)
Too many people on ice at one time, ice was so lumpy couldn't skate properly, not enough seating for everyone trying to put skates on and no where to sore bags/belongings whilst on ice

Review of Glasgow Winterfest - ICE SKATING (Weekend Tickets)
We had a session booked for 5PM and the queues were indescribable they were prioritising the people buying the tickets over the people who had barcodes so we then their fore got in at 20 past 5 due to other people being priority over those with barcodes. We then got on the ice at around 5:30 and got kicked out at 5:45 so we then their fore had no where near enough time as we should have so it was £15 down the drain with no way of compensation.

Review of Glasgow Winterfest - ICE SKATING (Weekend Tickets)
Great fun! The staff were so attentive to my little girl the many many times she fell over. I would say the music could be a bit louder and be warned the floor is wet when you take your shoes off but we absolutely loved it and can't wait for next year. Thank you Winterfest!!

Review of George Square Glasgow
We went ice skating with my friend today, and the staff members were trying to be helpful, but told us we need to give our shoes to them first before we can get the skates, as they have a system. While I understand they need to follow procedures this is ridiculous. You end up stopping around in your socks in the wet floor, not a great experience for £14. Especially if you want to spend time at the market afterwards in your wet shoes as your socks are soaking. Make it make sense people. At least offer dry mats or something

Review of Glasgow WinterFest - Ice Skating (Mondays - Thursdays)
The ice rink is absolutely wrecked already, chipped and gouged out. the skates are old and blunt. The session started late and ended early. We were told we had to pay extra for a frame for our toddler to balance on, but when the session started, everyone just raided them, staff didn't do anything to stop them or check who had paid for them. So our toddler could barely move, whilst teenagers pushed each other around on them.
Loads of folk openly vaping in the tent, staff entirely unconcerned, as toddlers and young kids skate through plumes of vape smoke.
It's def not the family / child friendly thing we expected.

Review of Glasgow WinterFest - Ice Skating (Mondays - Thursdays)
the worst ice i've ever skated on in my life, i am a confident skater but this ice clearly isn't made smooth after any of the sessions so it's just a horrible, bumpy fall trap. go to edinburgh instead, lovely smooth ice that you can actually skate on.

Review of Glasgow Winterfest - ICE SKATING (Weekend Tickets)
The queuing was a bit chaotic, the boots were well worn and the ice was extremely bumpy. It didn't matter you had booked a slot for ice skating, you couldn't get into interest itself without waiting a long queue.

Review of Glasgow Winterfest - ICE SKATING (Weekend Tickets)
The Ice was very cut up which made it much harder for beginners to get a grip on the ice, hire of trolleys even though the cost of the venue was already high I think was a joke basically meant if your a beginner/first timer you have to send the whole time going round the edge with your child getting nothing from the event at all
