Superb support from Brave Rival (acoustic) who I had never seen before followed by a stunning set from Cardinal Black. What a treat to have both theses bands in town on a Wednesday evening in Hastings!

Saw Cardinal Black at the Black Deer Festival and absolutely loved them and seeing them live was amazing! The gig was fantastic and what we liked was the chat and laughter along the way on top of listening to fantastic live music ... look forward to seeing them again soon

Great small venue, good visibility of stage, good choice at bar which was reasonably priced. Cardinal Black are an excellent, talented band, who mix their music with fun. Will definitely see them, and visit Blackbox again.

A problem with the sound system is why I marked the venue down. One of the side speakers, above the lead guitarist, kept cutting out. Apart from that it was a great night

Review of Praying Mantis - Blackbox, Hastings Wednesday 22nd November 2023
Brilliant night. The venue was excellent as it reminded me very much of going to clubs like the Marquee to watch metal bands.
Will definitely be looking out for more gigs there and hopefully there will be more metal bands playing there.

Never been to this venue before and it was great. Friendly staff, great viewing area, great prices. Will definitely be keeping my eye out for more gigs at this venue
