Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
The acts were good this was the only positive although they were not as originally advertised. There were very few choices of food and drink (no healthy options) for a 10hr event most of which sold out early, this makes the no re-entry rule unreasonable.
The toilets continually ran out paper and hand gel and there was no lighting after dark.
Security was plentiful but un organised and undisciplined heavy handed behaviour was witnessed.
It was apparent that the event organisers did not have a clear, comprehensive plan for the day as none of the event staff could answer our questions with the same answer if at all.
It is unlikely that we would attend another event by these organisers.

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
Sadly my party of 4 wasn't happy as the so called VIP seats were high up behind the stage so you couldn't see the acts at all and because we took 2 chairs to sit on after two acts seated in front of the stage. We was told to to sit at the back. 🧐not happy they way they approached us So got up and left. A total shambles and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
Poorly organised. Long queue to get in. No water allowed. Nowhere to refill water bottle. Bar ran out of some drinks. Very expensive. Food choice poor & not enough outlets open. Not enough seating provided. People sitting on the floor.Elton tribute the best. Gaps in between bands/acts too long

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
Terrible acts that was never on the advertised line up and was never advised that this has chanced - bit of a difference between Bowie and the Spice Girls!, 'meat-head' security looking for trouble, draught run out within a couple of hours and prices were crazy - £18.50 for a beer and spirit with a and mixer. Only people with bags were being checked on the way in resulting in people with water having it taken off of them, even though there was none in the venue, but there was people smoking w**d. Left within 4 hours of the event starting. Had real potential to be a good day but it was nothing but a let down.

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
Event was 12-10 (but opened late at 12:45). Food had run out by 3/4 pm, no seating, vip seating area behind the stage so couldn't see or hear anything, security staff looked a bit rough, music terrible less than half the bands advertised and some were awful. A complete rip off and also skiddle not great as no way I can see of getting a refund for the 4 ViP tickets we bought

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
Draft beer and larger ran out by 1:30. From then on only cans were available and these weren't cold and of ambient temperature (warm).I was told that this was because there had been events on the two previous days. This is a very poor excuse and is indicative of dreadful planning. Initially we were told there was no wine but later on we were able to purchase a plastic b**ker of poor quality white wine at an exorbitant price of £9.
The number of toilets were insufficient and were often blocked, yes by scummy people, but there should have been people to clean them.
The above distracted from what should have been an enjoyable day and we left early.
The Elton John tribute was the best act that we saw.

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
Great location on the pier and the concept of the tribute bands was fab. The singers were mediocre but ok. The atmosphere was good and people in good spirits.
However, there was Too long between the bands. We finally left at 8:30 PM when ABBA finished as the Queen act weren't coming on until 9PM . By this time it was dark, cold and still very windy. We really wanted to see Queen but couldn't wait for another half an hour for them to come on. Noticed that Lots of others left also .
On a negative.. the bars downstairs had run out of all draught beer/drinks by 4PM!!! So only horrid cans available.. We were also unable to purchase a can at two of the bars as their card machines weren't apparently working so it was cash only, which we didn't have with us!! Soo annoying! No one seemed to be on hand to remedy these problems ! The event must have lost out on thousands in lost revenue due to those failings . Crazy..!

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
We arrived ca 3.30 pm just as Elton John appeared, apparently the first act since midday opening. He was good, but Mel B who followed merely gyrated and appeared not to be singing. It became apparent that the advertised line up of artists was not going to happen, so at 6pm we left the festival. Our biggest gripe overall was the organisation of the day as VIP ticket holders. There was no "queue jump" at all on arrival and the VIP area was behind the stage, entirely limiting visibility of the acts and also distorting the acoustics. What made £74 payment for 2 x tickets even worse, was hearing that many regular tickets had been sold via Wowcher at £9 each!

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
This was a badly organised event, poor provision of services, poor acts, a woeful demonstration of the publicised event. We had to upgrade to a VIP ticket so we could buy decent beer (all the stalls had run out by 4pm)! Many of the acts did not materialise and those on offer were average at best. No food or adequate beverages and the organisers refused to let people leave and return. Such a disappointment for an event that had great potential.

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
We were disappointed that Oasis The Stone Roses and Fleetwood Mac weren't there as that's who we went to see. However we still had a lovely day. I was especially impressed by the girl looking after the toilets. They were all clean, had toilet roll in them and available quickly because of her dedication.
Sadly the queues for food were far too long. You had to wait over an hour and that was if you were lucky enough that they hadn't sold out before you got to be served.
Also, towards the end of the day, all draft beer had sold out. If you do not want people to bring their own food and drink, please make sure you do not run out!

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
Sadly a very disappointing event ☹️ Don't bother paying the VIP price - no fast queue, seating area always BEHIND the stage, only 8 toilets (constant queue) ..... and in general, the beer ran out with 4 hours to go, hardly any food outlets were open (we queued for an hour & a half to pay £12 per burger). Several acts had cancelled ( but we weren't informed) just waited ages in-between acts for David Bowie & Fleetwood Mac but they never showed. Considering how often they run these gigs, I am amazed that I am writing almost an identical review to a load of people last year. NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
This festival was awful and the security team have a lot to answer for. We entered the venue and were listening to the Spice Girls tribute, and completely out of the blue near the end of the set, approx. 8 security guards swarmed my husband demanding that he go with them to the bar. When asked why, they said that he matched the description of a man who had taken drinks and not paid. We had not even been to the bar at the far end of the pier, and my husband even took off his hat and glasses to show who he was and showed he didn't even have any drinks on him. They escorted him all the way to the bar (along with another friend who also fit the description) where the bar staff nonchalantly replied 'that's not him'. No compensation offered. By the end of the situation there were approximately 10-12 security guards all surrounding my husband. The actions of security escalated the situation and were completely unjustifiable.

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
Poor communication re food and drink not being allowed.
Also no information regarding the acts performing and the timings.
Long gaps between acts....final act
Queen didn't start until 2145 which was 45 minutes after ABBA finished.
Considering you couldn't bring your own food there was no healthy food options only burgers and chips.
We felt security were intimidating and rather heavy handed in dealing with where people could sit.
Why was sealed bottled water being confiscated on entry ??
